i am able to use my prepaid MB68 to go online without much problem, the only thing is, i am not able to check my data usage via the Umobile broadband manager, the "prepaid/postpaid" button is missing. Seems i am not their telco subscriber, i can only check my data usage via the UBM and webiste until it's properly fixed.... rclxub.gif

Haven't try top up yet coz the validity is 30 days, and i still haven't finish using the quota yet..., so uncerain about the browsing and download speed after over quota..., hehe.. sweat.gif

...my prepaid UMOBILE MB68-5gb just over quota these few days..., gmail has to load in basic HTML, even with that, 30 emails took me about 2 hours to finish open in chrome and reads them one by one... , it used to be 15mins or 30mins if longer, LOL... XD

download software about 20 mb, needs about 2 hours... rclxub.gif

Facebook pictures not showing up either... doh.gif

reminds me of..., the era of dialing 1515, lol... shocking.gif

I know, the speed will be reduced after over quota, seems i am using it for "free" as i am just a prepaid user..., but i didn't expect the speed is like 1515 mah..., lol....., sigh.... ... sweat.gif

you know the rules and capped speed before u use
*
i know, but like i said, i didn't know it's that slow loh..., i thought 128 is 128kbps exact for browsing, download etc loh...

Because i have been subscribing streamyx with rm66 everymonth for many years, so..., when i paid rm68 to subscribe umobile, i didn't expect it's slower than before seems it's extra rm2 expensive mah.... ~~

streamyx rm66 <------- Speed is 512kbps
Umobile after quota <----Speed is 128kbps

you must understand...
you can't compare with landline and wireless

wireless tend to have higher ping which also affect your data transmission aka slower a bit to reach for each request.

1515 era is over, back then internet content is simple
Now, Internet enrich with fantastic graphic...advertisment....which needed more quota at certain reasonable speed to be able to view it comfortably.

Look around for better alternative..
i am sure there are Telco who can match your needs especially "moblity browsing experience"
But then, the cost might be high.

There always a a pot of gold at the end of each rainbow.
Dang, i use to believe that until science prove it just reflection at certain sun beam angle....etc

Thanks maknok, i thought 128 means 128k in mobile internet..., maybe next time only look for alternative bah, no budget after a recent switched... doh.gif sweat.gif

But..., what i doesn't agree is..., the speed before and after capped shouldn't be that huge different, i know all telcos has something called FUP, i am not against FUP, i just hope the speed diference before and after capped doesn't have to be so like ...the sky and the ground loh.... blink.gif .

For Umobile on gmail after 5gb capped..., i managed to downloaded Thunderbird after 2 or more hours to manage my gmail via imap though.... , can't load it in chrome... unsure.gif

i realize Umobile has 10gb promo for mb68 now, i wonder will i get it if i topup my account before it expired the end of this month??.. hmm.gif drool.gif

Just signup a new line and get 5GB+5GB for this new line.

The current can port out first, then re MNP back as MB68 5GB+5GB  and terminate this new line.

QUOTE(CnY Garage @ May 28 2014, 02:00 PM)
but the problem is postpaid broadband got no voice call funtion, thats why prepaid broadband unable convert to postpaid broadband, even they allow you to keep the number, but the number is meaningless since u can't use it to call as well, just for paying bill purpose  cool2.gif
thats ok..., i am only use umobile for internet usage.. XD... eventhough the number cannot make calls or sms ....., but still nice to keep...., but..., maybe later only to get a new nice number.., seems i only need to pay upfront... hmm.gif .. not sure yet though...

anyway..., i am currenly using other telco as my mobile operator, so...., the main reason that i got umobile was after terminate my streamyx for internet, so.... laugh.gif
