QUOTE(4Rings @ Dec 11 2008, 05:59 PM) 5-10 whole eggs a day should be a reasonable amount. Most of the people who suffer from renal failure are diabetics. Hi carb diet causes diabetes. Sugar is the culprit not protein nor fat. Which brings back the basics, definition of diabetes = Carbohydrate INTOLERANCE. If you're bound to get diabetes, you'll get it. Not by means of excessive carbs. Question is, why people who workout a lot with HIGH carb diet dont get diabetes? Conclusion is.. high carb diet is not a single factor to the cause of diabetes

For me i love to have complex carbs meal for preworkout to boost my energy and get rid of my laziness but i m not sure if those r psycological or biological, so...... just do watever i feel right atm hehe.

the reason why i suggest for not taking the banana for preworkout is that, banana itself is cosider a hi GI food and it make slow down or make u tire during the training, yeap the fibre and potasium in it is awesome, i took it as my breakfast. Anyway, trial and error. The purpose for prebed is u wan to sustain the protein availability throughout the night, Milk contain of Casein which claimed to be a slow release protein (can last ard 6-8hrs) so.... milk may be the best choice, but wat i concern about it is the carbs contain in it, tats y i took meat for pre bed. However, if u have extra money to spend with just get a tube of casein, low carbs high protein, save the work. hehe but i m financially tight. so stil chicken as prebed .

@fireball, he means you won't get diabetes just yet, even if you've been in a hi carb diet for a long time.
That's how I look at it.

taking virtargo(dextrose) for preworkout, so far so good.
I'm just take whey for pre-bed since I'm too lazy to cook chicken and my financial capability limit me to get a tub of casein.

But I think it totally doesnt make sense... common sense infact! LoL! So he's trying to say ppl who eat lots of carbos are going to get diabetes one day, every single one of them! it's just a matter of time! It's like a disease which is in ALL/EVERYONE of us, just waiting to come out when we eat too much carbo someday. Haha.. You actually believe that?

Diabetes is very common now. Everyone has a chance of getting it. Some get it in their 20's. Prevention is better than cure. If you take care of your carb intake now, you could reduce your chances of getting diabetes.
Our carb intake has increased tremendously over the decades. And Malaysians are one of the highest rice consumers in Asia. We eat rice more than Japs, Chinese (China), Thai and Indon per year.
That's one of the reasons diabetes is on the rise in Malaysia. Good luck!

Today feel no energy when hitting gym even I consume around 150g of carbs before gym.

Gonna stop buying peanut butter and maybe stop consuming HL milk too ... Since I get higher protein/ringgit from whey and eggs ... no point then .. plus whey is so convenient just stir and drink !~ Actually HL milk from Jusco has a very high protein/ringgit too ... The original price is 8.35 for twin pack, means 4.175 each pack ... One pack has 50g of protein, so it's 50/4.175 = 11.976g of protein/ringgit ... which is higher than the Scivation whey protein/ringgit ( Since HL milk is junk food so not recommended ) ... In the end nothing beats the almighty whey from 4Rings ... 12.94g/ringgit heh This post has been edited by JustForFun: Dec 16 2008, 12:37 AM

But now, with my research paper, I don't really have any free time to do BB.

I don't mind about the taste ... for BBing I already sacrificed all food that I like because they're junk .. Now I eat everything that's beneficial to me ... taste is no longer a priority .. but protein is. HARD BOILED EGGS ARE HELL LOTSA SHIT !
