Ah yes those are trolls stirring harmony between the locals and foreigners.
The problem is some of us don't get 3k rm job compared to the 3k sgd job offered in SG, maybe in KL or big cities. For people in kampung or tree area like me, max 1k rm job. cry.gif
*
so the cycle remains.

sin1k for $3 meals vs RM1K for RM5 meals.

KL is super expensive.

its like earning RM but spending in Sin dollars.

many stuff there are actually priced in "sin" dollars and I am talking about necessities like food, drinks, etc.

that's why whenever i visit my kl friends, i always pay for the big amounts... not easy living in kl for a malaysian.

i do salute Malaysians for having to pay through their nose and still have savings to buy houses, yup houses not house. icon_rolleyes.gif

honestly, i don think most Singaporean can buy our "pigeon holes" if not for our CPF.

Dude, I'm just stating out some of the real examples from my friends. Malaysian.
Since the question posted was about steps to convert his Malaysia driving license and whether to surrender his Malaysia driving license back to them.

My advice is try to keep his Malaysia driving license.

Not sure about Indon thou. rolleyes.gif

I suspect this is due to the close proximity between Singapore and Malaysia and also historical ties between the 2 nation. Do note it is the Malaysian side that WILL cancel your Malaysian license (and restate it back if you cancel the Singaporean license if not mistaken)

For your Indonesia though experiment, he/she will have 2 license as there is no need for Indonesian side to cancel their own license ?

Ask a GENERAL question >

how much AVERAGE income in SGD you can SAVE after deduct LIABILITIES ,

Assuming NO CAR and PROPERTY in SNGAPORE >
*
The most General answer will be...

AVERAGE income - X (varies with your qualification)
AVERAGE liabilities - Y (varies with your lifestyle)

X-Y = Z

Z is the AVERAGE income you can save. Assuming NO CAR and PROPERTY in Singapore

for roughly how much you need for AVERAGE LIABILITIES (Y), Google around or you can read back the post here. How much you can get for an AVERAGE INCOME (X), you can state your qualification here, and maybe someone will give the range of your INCOME.

If you want a very GENERAL GENERAL answer. Go google, the debt to GDP ratio of Singapore. Then you can get the overall idea.

Then, if you want to ASK for QUESTIONS, do it nicely and clearly so people can help you better. In case you do not know, when you are asking for a question, it means you need someone to answer. Which concludes you need 'HELP'. Because no one here is obligated to answer your question.

Thanks and hope it helps.

you sure suck in courtesy especially when u are trying to ask for help
what kind of average are u expecting?
everyone lives a different lifestyle and their means are diff
there is a rough calculation on the first post anyway on expenditures...so do your own calculations base on your own lifestyle or did you fail maths too on top of moral.

QUOTE(almeizer @ Apr 9 2014, 10:51 AM)
Don't take it for granted that people must answer your question. I saw rudeness in your post.

In addition, your question does not really can get direct answer. "Average" just not enough and you did not provide the range of nett income. E.g. one people earn SGD10k could save SGD5k and another people earn SGD 3k could save SGD800. So your average is among this 2 people as example? Haven't add in the factor renting HDB room, whole flat or condominium, the rental is far different.
