QUOTE(avineshhh @ Jun 1 2014, 03:32 PM) yeah i meant the pre approved cards when you acquire their privilege banking service? It won't be automatic on the spot, you have to apply for it! Most probably they won't request for your income proof either, as long as you maintain privilege banking status. A few years back, CIMB did sent me a pre approved Enrich Mastercard form and would only need me to submit my ic and business card only.

Getting Started

|
I just signed up for a credit card at a shopping mall and realised that the terms are not exactly as what the promoter mentioned. I called to get her to cancel but she has been ignoring ever since.
If the new credit card arrive, can I just don't activate the card, cut and dispose it? Will it affect anything (i.e. in terms of annual fee etc..)?

There are always some kind of promo where you use X times within 1-2 months period upon card approval date and you will be credited back the RM50 GST (usually 3 to 4 months later). Know what are terms and conditions for your card. If you just ignore it, you will be imposed late payment and financial charges for the GST, which can have adverse effect on your credit report, borrowing loan, etc. What card did you apply btw? CC agents can say whatever they like just to hit their target.

However, you also need to pay for GST (depend on credit card type), why not you can just active and use it to be entitled for RM50 rebate, just cancel after 6 months. No lose from you also.

When I double confirm with the promoter whether the promised cashback apply for weekdays and will be permanent, she said yes and it will be "ongoing". I signed up. Went home check website - Only for weekends, until dec 2014. When I called the promoter, she said there is still cashback, but is 0.5% for weekdays About the time frame, she said the promo is until dec 2014 but it may continue on but not sure yet. I am lodging complaint.

hi now i'm looking at ocbc mastercard for the 1% cash rebate as a backup card.
but it seems, the normal ocbc normal blue/pink mastercard and titanium mastercard all give 1% rebate, the only different i see from the website is normal mastercard dont have 24 concierge?
and also their GE linked mastercard where also give 1% cash rebate but auto-IPP for GE premium and give 0.1% cash rebate on this.
so the above, with per annum of RM60k and above, which one is the best card to apply?

If your Income can Support U just Get the Titanium Version maybe will get Higher CL just go for Titanium...lah ALL with 1% Unlimited Cashback Except 1.2% on World MasterCard...
