For sure far below Centurion haha

I think the highest is Visa Infinite Diamante, for Private Wealth clients (1 million USD assets under management to be eligible)
*
In fact, it is the highest ranked AMEX credit card.... Likewise Centurion is the highest ranked AMEX charge. In comparison Maybank Diamante is not in the same league as Centurion... At the moment only Citibank Ultima and DBS Insignia are.

Try UOB One Card  or RHB Travel Money I think UOB It Should No Problem (EZ) to get It if Compare with MBB 2Cards
& FYI Nowadays, The Bank Will Refer to Your EPF  1st  for CC Application... nod.gif
If Your EPF's Contribution are More than $220 = Your Salary $2000/Month  It Should be NO Problem to Get Your 1st CC nod.gif
*
I strongly agree UOB are lenient in approving CC application. MBB is getting more selective nowadays. As for your case, MBB might require you to pledge FD in order to be approved ! shocking.gif

i would like to ask if I made an application on Monday this week, when will I get to know the results? the officer at the bank told me 2 weeks...but I m not the patient kind of person. can I ask on the Friday of tht week itself? I m afraid it will affect my chances of getting the cc.
*
You may try MBB maybankard cemter at KLCC, 1U or Mid Valley where they can process within 60 minutes... Or if you prefer RHB , visit them at KLCC (10 mins) . Others normally take 2 weeks.

my main salary is RM1.4k and
i helping my dad as part time, salary is RM 900

1.4k got salary slip ---> epf + socso
900 no slip  ----> epf ( plan to make my own,but donno need to put socso for how much)

EPF account inside total got RM34k, every month got caruman from both company.

can apply at which bank? i asked maybank, but they say now need 3k salary only can apply credit card..

now only need 3 month salary slip and epf statement?
so i have to prepare 3 month slip from each company izit? do i need any other doc to get better result?
*
To be frank, people like you, who held two jobs and earns RM2300 per month , do have credit card ! You can apply at all banks but do check out their requirement for the specific cards. Maybank lowest requirement is RM30k so you are a bit short but their Maybank2Cards Amex is one of the best card to carry. As far as documents are concerned, you will need your 3 months salary slip and EPF statement. Some might ask for your bank account statement. Is this the 1st time you apply for CC ? If so, you may try UOB. It is thought among forumer that it is lenient in giving out cards.

i dont hv cc, only debit card. i dont have uob bank acc, so i create 1 bank acc and apply cc?

That's up to you. You don't have to open a bank acc in order to get a CC. But it'll be more convenient if you do so.

Thanks for the clarification. Just wanna check one last with you. How about the installment plans? Can the fees be seperated into 10months, 1 year etc installment plan after purchase?
*
There are two type of installment plans available. One of it is the 0% easy payment plan, which is available at limited merchant only and are not charged any interest. The next one would be flexi payment plan, where after you made a transaction above a certain amount at any merchant, you could convert your transaction into installment plan but are charged a lower than usual interest. Please google maybankard ezypay plus for details.

*
If you apply for MBB VI, you will have another PP which comes with 5 free entry. You may try to use these 2 cards at the same time but be prepared to pay $$ since they could detect these 2 cards is the same owner !

so u suggest to me to apply for mbb2 american express or mstercard/visa?
*
When you apply for MBB2, you will get 2 cards. One is American Express, the other is a choice of Mastercard or Visa. Bear in mind, you will only get 5 % cashback on weekend only on your AMEX card ! So it is best you fill up full tank on weekend and do so every week . If not, you will only get Treatspoint with a value of 2% of your transaction only. BTW, keep the Master/Visa in your drawer, the benefit is poor.

All sifu, i got some questions on my citibank credit card bill.

1. what is the meaning of late charge fee of RM10 they charged on me?

2. What is the meaning of finance charges on my bill?

Thank you.
*
1. Late charge fee or late payment charge is a fee you have to pay if you do not pay your minimum on/ before the due date.

2. Finance charge is the interest the bank charge you for any balance you carry forward on your card account.

Based on the above topic, you can actually get credit card by pledging min RM5k FD at Maybank, so you can get MBB2Cards.
*
Not anymore, today i went to MBB accompanying my nephew to pledge FD for CC. Got the news from the officer the minimum is now 10k ! Nasib baik his mother is willing to sponsor biggrin.gif

a friend of mine told me today that she got her credit card due to a car loan from ambank. I would like to ask if banks are giving out cc when u get a car loan from that particular bank. my friend does not have EPF though and did not know that she was getting a credit card from applying a car loan. can anyone please help clarify if banks are giving credit cards together with car loan? thank you.
*
It used to be the case prior to 2011. During that time, cards are unsolicitedly issued and upgraded. Even credit limit can be increase without you applying. After the big intervention by BNM , they are mandated not to do so. But you might find some agents still doing so for the sake of earning $$.

Referring post #641, you can apply for CC if you are willing to pledge 10k FD with Maybank. HL RHB PBB Ambank requires 5k.

I dont understand why uob cashback depleted after pumping in the middle of the month. And wise by hlb has a high barrier? I thought requirements 24k per annum? I was thinking mach by hlb or rhb vox and uob one. Please tell me more on uob one? Tq
*
One thing good about UOB is that it is easy to apply. They are considered lenient in approving applications! One thing bad about UOB One Card petrol rebate is that the bank allocated RM900k on a first come first served basis for all cardmember! Usually this amount would last two weeks or so. Once RM900k has been redeemed, no more rebate for that particular month! On the other hand HL is very selective of their wise cardmember. If you have home loan or Hire purchase with HL you may try. Based on their database, there are around 40k wise cardmember . For a product of about 18 months old, 40k is a very low figure. I'm sure actual application has surpass 100k mark already. So for border line case, you only stand a 40% chance of getting wise card!

I do have a hire purchase with hlb and my salary also credit into hlb as my company has business with hlb. But the wise card annual fee is quite expensive and gst to be taken into account. Can these be waived? Wht abt mach by hlb? Do u think its good?
*
It is naturally easier for existing HL customer to get this card. Wise card AF & GST is waived for the 1st year only. From 2nd year onwards, AF waiver is not definite , GST have to be paid. Provided you are capable of getting >RM60 effortlessly by using this card every month, otherwise you get other card. Mach? Forget about it. That card is really a brain twister rclxub.gif

I understand the problem with mach. But for wise, I am also interested but not willing to pay RM160 each year. But rebate of RM50 each month is really a lot compared to other banks. Lets say I get Rm50 rebate each month in a year I'll get RM600 then pay off the Rm160  I still earn Rm440. Maybe I'll consider wise...waiting for the bank to call me for more info.but as barrier to entry is high I guess I shld not hv high hopes.
*
Don't worry though. My missus is earning exactly RM2k/m and she maintain her a/c and HP with HL. Her app is successful. The real cost of using wise card from the 2nd year onwards will be AF- RM160 and GST - RM50 = RM 210. As long as you meet the requirement of 10xRM 50 /m and do not spend outside your category, the rate of return will be higher, if compared with other cards around.

yeah i meant the pre approved cards when you acquire their privilege banking service?
*
It won't be automatic on the spot, you have to apply for it! Most probably they won't request for your income proof either, as long as you maintain privilege banking status. A few years back, CIMB did sent me a pre approved Enrich Mastercard form and would only need me to submit my ic and business card only.
