QUOTE(candysiew @ May 15 2014, 04:05 PM) you mean getting both hong leong + maybankard(2 cards) are better than the two that i currently having, correct? i'm more swiping more on groceries, petrol, insurance and some online buying/intallment.... if getting both mean i wil have 3 government fee to pay right per year unless it can be waived = RM150. i think you can just apply for aeon watami as it suits your spending pattern more. 3% rebate for all your expenses except for petrol.

QUOTE(candysiew @ May 16 2014, 09:02 AM) 3% also applies to insurance? my main CC usage is on petrol, groceries and insurance.... Yes, it is applicable for insurance BUT not for petrol. Click here to my article AEON Watami - Hybrid Credit Card that Earns You 3% Cash Back and Reward Points.Seriously, if you can pump petrol and do your groceries on Saturday and Sunday, best you go get Maybankard 2 Cards where you will earn a total 7% cash back equivalent every month. Click here to my article The Best Cash Back credit Card Combination and I will show you which card is best for those spending less than RM1K/month to up to RM7K/month. TO ALL: Recently I published two articles: If you are looking for cash back credit card and earning RM100K/year, click here and read my article Public Bank Visa Signature - another Fantastic Cash Back credit card. Finally applied (again) for credit cards. This time I lowered my expectation and just went for Citi Clear Card and Maybank 2 Gold. Hopefully now either will come to fruition.

QUOTE(cfa28 @ May 7 2014, 09:35 AM) Son, you're off to a very BAD start. Forgive me for being blunt. Just got new CC and not making full payment for your purchase is a recipe for disaster. Before you know it, amount will snowball to your credit limit and you'll be knocking on AKPK doors. If u cannot afford to pay in full at end of month, don't swipe. Don't swipe anymore until u clear your current balance. Thank you for your advice...i take the card just for buy the 1.3K phone, i think nobody will use 1.3K CASH to make the direct payment unless they rich enough. Instead of using 0% monthly payment installment plan which default offer by phone shop, i choose to clear the 1.3K balance in 5 months and plus the benefit of new card application cash rebate, in the end i clear the balance faster than installment plan and the extra charged amount not more than it. I know the risk of bill snowball, that why i keep tracking the outstanding balance and interest rate they charge to me.

QUOTE(gonzalo20 @ May 16 2014, 08:11 PM) so u suggest to me to apply for mbb2 american express or mstercard/visa? When you apply for MBB2, you will get 2 cards. One is American Express, the other is a choice of Mastercard or Visa. Bear in mind, you will only get 5 % cashback on weekend only on your AMEX card ! So it is best you fill up full tank on weekend and do so every week . If not, you will only get Treatspoint with a value of 2% of your transaction only. BTW, keep the Master/Visa in your drawer, the benefit is poor.

Finance charge is the interest the bank charge you for any balance you carry forward on your card account.
