Would like to know if uob is really lenient in approving cc among most bank as I would really like to get their uob one card to get cash rebate for purchases as petrol prices are quite costly nowadays

u may consider Citi Cash Rebate Platinum, the benefit almost similar with UOB One Card. got promotion right now

Based on the above topic, you can actually get credit card by pledging min RM5k FD at Maybank, so you can get MBB2Cards.

<Getting a credit card is good, so that you can create a CCRIS record in the BNM system. After age 30, if you don't have a CCRIS record, borrowing money from financial institution will be quite hard, unless you are working in MNC, public listed company. Kuci miao SDN BHD company, you will have hard time for your loan application, unless your company is reputable enough.>

rclxub.gif rclxub.gif rclxub.gif may I know what is CCRIS? I don't have a credit card but I have car loan with HLB and approval with no guarantor...will that add too the CCRIS record? Would like to learn about balance transfer too...how does it work?

not really, if your income qualifies for a certain loan capacity (and you are still within the range) and your payment records are good, it won't affect.
however, it will somehow affect on your next cc application (rather than on car/housing loan) bcs you showed your desperation to get cc.

okay thanks. so having too many cards will not reduce the amount of loans eligibility.

so far no problem with applying for more card laugh.gif

actually it will reduce the amount of your loans eligibility whenever a credit limit is given to each of your card (although you have not fully utilise it). credit limit will be viewed as a type of loan because there are chances that one day one will fully utilise all their cc's cl when they are in need of money.

How about request to increase credit limit??

Is the credit limit will be set up to how many % based on the salary range?

My sis just applied for house loan recently and her officer told her that if payment is good, they will only view 5% of your total credit card limit as your "debt"/commitment
