what he meant is once your cc is approved you need to pay rm50 for the gst although you did not activate it.
yes, you will receive statement stating the rm50 gst charge for the first month.
but following months if there is no transaction, some banks don't send statement.

What if the bank just send another card to me but I did not activate it?

The RM50 is not applicable right?

what do you mean another card? The question is, why do you want to bring this trouble to yourself?

If you do not want the card, don't apply.
If you have applied but do not want the card, call up to cancel your application.
If your application has been approved and the card sent to you, call up to terminate.

When my current Citibank card near expiry date, they send another new card to me. But on the same time, I call Citibank to terminate my current card because I do not want to use Citibank card anymore. For the new card, I just ignore it. I did not activate it nor call Citibank and cancel it.

Already received confirmation that your old card is cancelled? Ignorance is not always bliss, better check it.

of course can cancel anytime no problem.
what i mean about the trial period is that if you cancel within that period, you don't have to pay anything. but since it's already 2 years so just cancel it if you no longer needed it.

Anyone using Mach Credit Card? What is the different with HLB Wise Credit Card? hmm.gif

HLB Wise Credit Card require to make a minimum of any 10 retail transactions monthly (with a minimum of RM50 per transaction) to enjoy the 10% cash back on the selected categories..

difference between wise vs mach is 10% vs 2-3% (mostly).

as long as it doesn't state the min amount, you can just swipe any amount x 12 times.
tip: use it at automated fuel dispenser (petrol station) at any amount you like (even at 10sen per transaction).

It's somewhat similar, but without the 10x RM50 transaction restrictions. However, the cashback is also less and widespread.
For low spender, this might be good.

Wonder what your primary card is until you can think of using 10% cashback card as 'backup'? =p
