it stated only for maybank credit card or maybank debit card.
so i assume maybank amex credit card should be ok but not maybank amex charge card.

mbb 2 cards amex is a type of credit card not charge card, so it should be allowed to participate in the contest.

i also applied and accepted me. i apply using CIMB bank account statement which my salary comes in and i will withdraw most of it and left less then RM500 in the bank ( I submitted a statement of RM380 in the account when i apply). BTW, i did not have any maybank acc. May be they valued us through commitment? I have a CIMB CC which i always pay on time.

Try to get your credit report from bank negara... I think maybe you miss some of your loan payment before this... just plain guessing only

this the reasons ... the bank sees you as unproven paymaster ... thus, higher risk to them .. ..

3 months payslip, 3 months bank statement, 1 year KWSP statement. 1 week time and i got sms said my application accepted.
i also withdraw most of my salary out for investment and bills payment. I have no loans too. I also wonder why they rejected you

hurm.. maybank2card is my first credit card also. i got mine approved on the first attempt. that time also never borrow any loan from bank.

but before that, im using supplementary card. not sure if that helps to build up my credit history? i think not. 0.0

Your age plus ur record too clean could be the factor you got rejected.

If you are over 30's and have no loan at all, which seems to the bank that you can't even afford a car or property (which in fact you could have all this from family without having you to buy it urself), so you are categorised as a high risk to the bank.

For the same scenario but if you are in the mid 20's, the bank would consider you a fresh grads and just starting to get loan from the bank to own car, property or even CC, you are considered more to the 'normal' ones and hence the approval is normally easier.

If u plan to apply again, support the application with whatever fund u have, e.g. shares, FD, GIA, CASA with documents. If u r cash rich n do not have documents then I think its hard to convince the bank that you are 'normal' or rich.

maybank used to reject my application years ago when my earning was puny but sufficient to fulfill the minimum requirement. I've applied twice-both got rejected. I've no other cc that time, no loan, everything is pretty clear. After 5 years; now that I have other cc, earning triple of that salary and having a car loan with maybank itself- they present me the card without me applying for it. I even upgraded to platinum and ask for limit increase more than 3x of my salary without any problem.

maybe they dun want you to go rouge. so if u got loans from Maybank also, means that u r pretty tied up with Maybank and cannot run..

I don't think so this is the reason. I don't have plenty of cash in my maybank account.

Were they offering u the card without you needing to submit anything? or they wanted to get you to apply? Mine delivered to my house without my sending in any application.

for NEW mbb cc application, applicant need to have a minimum balance of rm1k during the credit processing period.

yeah.. it might be bout your acc balance and might be the cash flow of your acc...

last time i got my credit card caused i rant to their service center asking to activate my debit for oversea payment which is not widely avail last time.

just try again or wait for their treats fair again. got my charge card during the fair

I gotv My MBB2Cards by 3rd Attempt (for the last Time), have Tried to Apply Every Year since 2011 till April 2013 baru dapat the Card (CL 4K only)
Having their Saving & Current Saving for Decade... MBB also not EZly give Me a CC, although I got Plenty of CCs with Others Bank with CL More than 10K per Card...
