Just applied the Maybank 2 Cards Platinum from Midvalley Maybankard Centre last two weeks, was approved in around 1 hour. But the approved credit limit was only 10k. Wondering how they set the credit limit, coz most of the cards from other banks offered 20k plus limit and even StandChart offered 36k limit. The staff said i can request to increase limit after 6 months. Anyone have any feedback on it?

Like others, i really hope to transfer most of the expenses to this card to maximize the return...

The Bank no longer match the credit limit of the new card with your existing card. They require to adhere to BNM Credit Card Guidelines to avoid Card user to get too much Credit Card debts.

So, any Credit limit increase will have to be supported by latest income documentation and is also based on 2-3 times of monthly income.

TKT, TCT correct me if i m wrong....

Very rare. Maybank is one of the banks which follows strictly on the annual income. smile.gif
Anyway, the differences of Gold and Plat are pretty negligible. Most of the additional benefits do not add any value but good to have.

Another difference is the CL, should be at least 10k CL right for Pla card?

Requested to increase CL, unable to go through.. I would say MBb offered CL quite low, Not even x2 of my income.. cry.gif

There is change in the T&C.

Alternatively, you can go to maybank2u.com.my--> treatspoints-->about treatspoints --> terms and conditions

If you made EzyPay 0% via Maybankard 2 AMEX on weekend, you'll get the 5X TP + 5% Weekend Rebate on FULL Amount charged (not based on monthly installment amount)

It makes sense for the CL because 60k per annum is about 5k per month and CL is 2x or 2.5x of monthly income.
