Previously it was BH-5's but what's the best chipset for oc these days? Hynix?

erm, micron D9GKX/GMH can do 1100mhz with CL4, if u are lucky enough, some can do 1300mhz with CL5 brows.gif , simple say its like the o skool BH5

Maybe you can try increasing the voltage for the proc. Mine is running at 410 FSB at 1.376v.. will need 1.475 to be stable though.

I think currently most easiest to find is Crucial Ballitix/Ballitix Tracer which comes with D9GMH chipset... Btw, some value RAM also come with micron D9 chipset like Kingston, TEAM, but it is quite difficult to find it now...

I heard from someone that it can be found on Kingston KVR too. If only I happen to see them, I'd get 2 sticks biggrin.gif

You should see a lot hynix in KVR which can do ddr2-1000 with loose timing smile.gif

And its very cheap nowadays smile.gif

Newer KVR's are no longer with Hynix chips - mostly Elpida and Kingston chips.
I'm not sure if the next batch would come with Hynix again though.

All of them hynix smile.gif

Yeah, he still has some stocks of Hynix. I went scouted in LY and Digital mall, none has Hynix biggrin.gif

Only highest end corsair module may have good D9 chip around. Low cost high performance just cant do DDR-1000 with tight timings.

ya agree , last week i went to lyp seek of value ram D9 chip (helping fren),last time kingston pc6400 come with D9 chip , now is other chip (dont know wat chip , nv see b4), no more D9 .. wink.gif
