QUOTE(brapa? @ Dec 31 2020, 10:24 PM) What water did you use? RO or tap water? You'll only need gh and tds reader if you use soil as substrate.. they are not as expensive. How much have you spent to buy your shrimps? Honestly, if you wanna go into caridina shrimps, then you'll prepare to spend a bit, otherwise it's just a waste of time and money in buying shrimps. I think Neocaridina shrimps suits you better. Lastly, what's the water temperature? |

QUOTE(brapa? @ Jan 6 2021, 11:23 AM) Ok abnormal behaviour, shrimps are not schooling category, they normally wander the entire tank.I wil concentrate on neo then Strangely The cardinas price Even cheaper than neo now My shrimps All like zombies Gather still in 1 place Or gang red vs orange ? ![]() ![]() there are expensive caridinas which can cost you few hundred bucks to few thousand each, there's a price to pay if you want to have good quality caridinas. however, for those cheap caridinas, are normally the culled or the lower grade that's why it's cheap. Have you seen SGD5,000 a pair shrimps? So for the lower grade caridinas vs neo, neo seems like more expensive right? Neo is generally more hardy and more so you should test your water right? given that the cheaper shrimps - neo also behaving weirdly in your tank. You wouldn't want to waste money keep buying shrimps also right. By the way, you should not mix 2 different types of neo in the same tank, they would cross breed and you would get funny funny offspring. |

QUOTE(brapa? @ Jan 12 2021, 05:39 PM) Hehe this is limpet or i call it as garden snails, they will breed in no time and flood your tank. Tq .. Duno when i can grad To keep higher grade ones Hope can see more ppl post their pets Like nt so active thread ![]() I notice a lot of baby snails Infesting my tank Wonder if they r good / bad nothing bad, just an eye sore to me at least. It would be better if you kill them off. i don't like all these pest snails. it comes together from your plant, most likely. So it's important to either: 1. get tissue cultured plant, or 2. quarantine and kill off all the pests in the newly acquired plants before placing them into your tank. |
