Hi there!
i'm currently running OpenWRT BarrierBreaker final version on DIR-615.
i'm able to get ipv6 address for my wan interface starting with 2001:E68
however i'm not able to get ipv6 address starting with 2001:E68 for my lan.
does this mean that my place does not support ipv6 yet?
any help will be appreciated.
Thanks!

Hi there!
Thanks for the reply.
can you help to explain what steps are needed for configurations in Barrier Breaker?
i have tested with dir-615 stock firmware version 7.19 and confirmed that ipv6 is working on my area.
many thanks!

Sorry, I do not have the router anymore, so I do not really remember how to do it.

Anyone managed to run Unifi on ipv6 successfully on OpenWRT Barrier Breaker final version using DIR-615?
Can share some guides on configuring it?
Thanks!

Upgrade to Barrier Breaker final version, and configured native IPV6 with radvd enabled only, the WAN interface able to get the ipv6 address, but all clients behind my TPlink WR841ND router is not able to get ipv6 address, I used 'ifstatus wan6' and found out TM didn't give ipv6prefix, the prefix field is empty, and the router system logs keep posting error message 'Server returned IA_NA status 2 (NoAddrsAvail)'

Context: For a typical consumer Streamyx account, TM assignes two /64 subnets, one for the PPPoE interface and a second one for the computers in the LAN.

Some preliminary things I have seen with the stable version of Barrier breaker.

The firmware is now able to assign the second /64 to the subnet now, just like your typical Innacom modem router does.

Problem is, even when my PC is assigned an IPv6 address, there are no route from the computer to the router. No connectivity problems though to the Internet. When I have time I will see why though.

I've just came to know about IPv6.
Really interested to get my hands on to it & started to do some research on it.

I got afew question about it that I'm not too sure:

Q1:
Solo IPv4 or stacked IPv4 & IPv6 is better?

Q2:
Don't know how it works... Our PC/modem/Router auto or manual choose?
Which is faster it grabs on it or what's available?

Q3:
Surely there are settings that's needed to be done.
The end user only need to set on the router & nothing needed/can be done at the BTU correct?

Q4:
Which ever unit that we are using we just set as at the link below correct?
https://www.tm.com.my/OnlineHelp/CustomerSu...able%20IPv6.pdf

Q5:
Lastly based on the screen shot below is there anything that I can do about it?
I guess that mostly it's for me to sit & wait...
For those that wanna try this out it's best that U check if your area covered with IPv6 capabilities.

I'm not a pro & one that still seeking for advice.
My info is from my self research only. I'm not the right person to advice as well
Thanks to all for your comments.

from my basic knowledge,

Q1: Stacked should be better which allow you to use both ipv4 and ipv6 but old networking devices can cause trouble with ipv6 then ipv4 only connection will be better.

Q2: I can say our networking devices will do all the job automatically...

Q3: Most of the thing can do for end user is configure router and end device.

Q4: Only for UniFi user and with the same router. Different router or isp can have different configuration.

Q5: 2 possibles, either isp doesn't provide ipv6 or the router might not supported or not configured to allow ipv6

i checked kat but works for me  hmm.gif  is it because you're using the default shi-t router they gave you ?  smile.gif  main website works, but looking at the tracker list i did not see kat listed, so maybe that is different :/

i'm using this dns on my tomato router  icon_rolleyes.gif
http://www.opendns.com/home-internet-secur...s-ip-addresses/
i torrent, i play game, watch youtube, stream to twitch, but all works with no issues in terms of speed and latency.

However sometimes i do note some drop frames streaming to twitch, but this doesn't happen 100% of time, but maybe it's related to using an alternate dns ? no idea  smile.gif But when it does, i just stop the stream, and start it up again to see if it fixes. Most of the time it does fix, but thought i should mention in case.

Pening2 setting, reset semua dah bile check balik I applied GoogleDNS instead of OpenDNS. Now applied OpenDNS everything turns back ok again, heck even better I think biggrin.gif

I am using two units of Asus RT-N12HP.

One is used for UniFi VIP10 but unfortunately, IPv6 does NOT work.
Another is used for Streamyx 4Mbps at my kampung, and IPv6 works.
Both routers have IPv6 settings set the same way.

Just want to confirm if TM has actually roll out IPv6 to all customers, or still in stages?

Anyone here tried replying to a thread using IPv6 on mobile Android's Chrome? After I click the Add Reply button it will load for long and then gives an error "No data received" and error code "ERR_EMPTY_RESPONSE". No issues with browsing, only when trying to reply to a thread. I've also tried using other browsers like CM Browser and same issue.

My desktop/laptop is completely fine.

I'm using pure stock Android 4.4.4 on my Nexus 5.

I'm using 1043nd with barrier breaker (0.12+svn-r10530). I did not change much on ipv6 area, my router able to get v6 address, i'am able to ping to ipv6.google.com from the router.

However, my client in LAN, not able to get v6 address from TM v6 range. Need to read more.
