I've updated my router firmware. confirmed ipv6 works on shibby Tomato v1.28.0000 MIPSR2-123 K26 USB AIO
however.... i still had to use the old trick to get ipv6 to work.

1. login to router via winscp > putty

enter this code
CODE
echo 1420 > /proc/sys/net/ipv6/conf/br0/mtu

confirmed that this setting was applied, using this code
CODE
cat /proc/sys/net/ipv6/conf/br0/mtu

has anyone yet figured how to automate this step into tomato so i don't have to manually go to putty ssh and do this manually every time i reboot/restart my router ?
*
put the script in Admin --> Scripts --> WAN up

echo 1420 > /proc/sys/net/ipv6/conf/br0/mtu

can check this from tomato router firmware, or only from modem ?  hmm.gif
would have to setup route modem ip to check behind a tomato router, o well  sad.gif

Not the router or firmware fault IMO, but its the ISP (DSLAM) problem.

Now solved with 4th report number... lol thumbup.gif doh.gif

Just tested my IPV6 (UniFi 10) through ipv6-test.com & I got a score if 19/20.
Was wondering about the statement in the bolded red square in the picture below.

user posted image

What is it & how do I get to get a perfect score of 20/20.
Is it important or I can just live with it?
I've tried reading in google / Wiki, but I don't really understand what it means. sweat.gif

Unless you're running a mailserver, it's not really important and you can live with it. TM doesn't have reverse DNS setup for its IPv4 addresses so I doubt that they would bother for IPv6.
CODE

Anyone Using TP-Link WDR4300?
What is the latest firmware you are using? Their website is a little confusing.

The lastest for unifi is V140916 or 130612?

http://www.tp-link.com.my/support/download...4300&version=V1

1. This is an IPV6 discussion thread. Your question has nothing to do with IPV6.
2. The latest firmware for WDR4300 is 140916 but that's the global firmware, not sure if it supports UniFi / Maxis Fibre. You'll just have to test it out by your own.

The link below is a dedicated topic for TP-Link TL-WDR4300:

Help, IPv6 delegation not working in OpenWRT barrier breaker GM.

How to solve this problem? Not sure what is working what is not. IPv6 technology is quite new for me.

IPv6 Seems like not delegating IPv6 for LAN side.

Looks like it is delegating the address, but "IPv6 default gateway" is blank - that's what you should troubleshoot I think.

what do you mean by default gateway is blank? is there a setting to set that in OpenWRT?

not very sure about IPv6 since it is a big difference compared to IPv4

Refering to this forum thread, is it ISP problem? Since I get only one IPv6 address for the router only.

I check with "ifstatus wan6"

"ipv6-prefix" is empty []

Openwrt barrier breaker (14.07) has issue with Unifi IPV6, it's not able to get ipv6 prefix delegation, I have tried it countlessly and I flashed back to attitude adjustment (12.09).

To enable IPV6 on attitude adjustment (12.09), you need to install following packages

1. ip6tables
2. kmod-ip6tables
3. radvd
4. wide-dhcpv6-client

use the following command to install

CODE

opkg update && opkg install ip6tables kmod-ip6tables radvd wide-dhcpv6-client && fw restart

Edit the /etc/config/network

CODE

config interface 'lan'
option ifname 'eth0'
option type 'bridge'
option proto 'static'
option netmask '255.255.255.0'
option ipaddr '192.168.1.1'
option gateway '192.168.1.1'

I don't think is a good idea to flash back to Attitude Adjustment since WDR3600 and WDR4300 included a WiFi patch which is critical to the wireless user. [without it, the WiFi Tx and Rx will not be sensitive] At least we understood that odhcp Barrier Breaker have some issue with TM users. but not with wide-dhcpv6-client. We should sound this problem to the OpenWRT forums and let the developer to review and solve it.
