I'm using 1043nd with barrier breaker (0.12+svn-r10530). I did not change much on ipv6 area, my router able to get v6 address, i'am able to ping to ipv6.google.com from the router.

However, my client in LAN, not able to get v6 address from TM v6 range. Need to read more.

I think the prefix delegation in barrier breaker may have compatibility issue with Unifi, the dhcpv6 is not able to get the prefix from unifi, hence, it couldn't propagate the ipv6 prefix to the LAN client. I have tried to force request the prefix in the /etc/config/network WAN6 section, unfortunately ended up even worst, unable to get ipv6 address at all.

Thanks, glad that I'm not alone laugh.gif

I'm currently reading this, http://wiki.openwrt.org/doc/uci/network6#d....lan-interfaces, thinking of possibility to use dhcpv6 relay mode since you mention barrier breaker having issue obtaining v6 prefix.

update: relay mode not working. given up for now. will try again tomorrow.

Tp link wdr4300 is loaded with custom firmware at least to support ipv6 from unifi. If you flashed the latest firmware even for Malaysia, yoh will lose ipv6 functionality. It have been discussed in tplink forum but so far no answer. If you still need ipv6, flash openwrt.

what kind of router support hurricane electric DDNS ?
*
I'm using any router that is supported by OpenWRT. OpenWRT support custom DDNS (in this case, HE DNS).

Also, you may try to find any router that support dnsomatic, from there you redistribute the ddns to all dns provider supported by dnsomatic.

My case, i have 3 ddns referring to my unifi wan ip, from the router i only point to dnsomatic, from there i share/push the wan ip to 3 different provider (HE.NET, afraid.org and no-ip)

p/s: custom script, you can reverse engineer this method: https://advanxer.com/blog/2014/01/opendns-d...-wr1043nd-v1-8/

for asuswrt ipv6 setting,
Connect to DNS Server automatically: disable
IPv6 DNS Server 1: 2001:4860:4860::8888

however, i noticed this setting is not propagated to ipv6 clients.

Ipv6 dns resolution is via ipv4
nslookup forum.lowyat.net
Server: google-public-dns-a.google.com
Address: 8.8.8.8

Non-authoritative answer:
Name: forum.lowyat.net

Did follow up some thread on Networking, did mentioned on ISP IPV6  not yet mature yet in Malaysia.
Y you guys need to setup IPV6?
*
Define mature? v4 or v6 they still riding on the same TCP/IP stack. Just the length is different. Furthermore we are running with dual stack, if ipv6 is not available, it will always fallback to ipv4.

Well, according to source, Malaysia is the leader in term of ipv6 adoption in ASEAN.

https://www.google.com/intl/en/ipv6/statist...y-ipv6-adoption

See the green thing? Compare with the rest of the world. On a separate note, IPv6 adoption, implementation and support is slow, even from ISP and networking vendor (not only in MY but rest of the world).

IPv6 is just for future readiness, as long as ipv4 exist, people will not rush to do it.
