any ideas what filter brands are available for the 14-24 f2.8?? specially GND & ND....

so far i know only of 3 brands
1) LEE
2) Hitech lucrOIT
3) Fotodiox Pro Wonderpana

only LEE is available in Malaysia.. the other 2 have to buy and ship from overseas..

LEE is available in Malaysia and well known
Fotodiox has CPL but can't rotate the filter head
Hitech is newest to the block... can rotate but no CPL...
Yes, pretty much spot on. Was looking at the alternatives before decided on the Wonderpana 66. I think you can get the Hitech at YL Camera.

Anyway, got the Wonderpana for my 14-24mm f/2.8 a month ago direct from Fotodiox website. Shipping was reasonable via USPS and pretty quick. All mounts are machined aluminum. Very nice quality. Comes with the system holder which you can screw in 145mm Fotodiox Pro CPL or UV filter (for those kiasu people) firmly in front of your lens, an aluminum bracket which you can hold the square Fotodiox Pro 6.6" Graduated ND filters (can stack two square GNDs at one time) and a huge pinch type 145mm lens cap. The kit comes bundled with Fotodiox 6.6"x8.5" 0.9 (3-Stop) Hard Edge Graduated Neutral Density Filter and 145mm Circular Polarizer (CPL) filter, To answer your question, yes the 145mm CPL does rotate.

Also got a step up 77mm ring so that I can use the Wonderpana setup on my other 77mm lenses.

This thing when set up is VERY huge. But the reason for it being huge is so that it does not vignette at 14mm on full frame. Hope I can use it more often. Pokai already after buying this and getting a CF tripod / ballhead.

i dont think people gaming with dual screen, usually one screen active another one just idle. usually people use that watch movie on another screen or use PS and drag all the tool windows to other side tongue.gif

up to you. that time when i purchase my 35mm with filter, i ask advice from the seller lady from shop nearby digital mall there...

she said.... every lens got UV coat.
but eventually it will wear off. so it is up to you want buy or not, then i ask what filter is good

she said HOYA is the quite common people buy, which you see not much difference there, for this lens you use this good enough, not you like a professional or what. she also said she personal use HOYA too... tongue.gif
