Did you enable power saving? Sometimes this could caused by Whatsapp server or your connection is off during screen off which sometimes will happened if you enable power saving where the phone cut of wireless radio to save power

go to page 1 check out the battery area, it should mention about greenify and also BBS, u can use BBS to determine what is causing the battery drain, then after solving that problem, greenify is used to improve your battery life

Power Saving feature in TouchWiz does not do that. Only Sony's Stamina Mode feature in Sony Android phones turn off data connection when screen is off.

Mine is quite noticeable cause when I out my Note 3 on silent in the class, a message came in and its vibrate and few of ny friends nearest it could hear the vibration.

Oh thanks for the enlightenment. Then I believe the issue is either the phone hardware or Whatsapp server?

My direct writing n its conversion to actual text is perfect. Reason why I said the Spen is as good as writing on paper

benny the main problem here is that once we enabled direct writing+predictive text, the old method of using the keyboard part does not have predictive text anymore

Is probably whatsapp server issue. I faced this once in a while in my XZU n in this Note3 n LGOP too

To be honest, I much prefer this feature compared to the other one. Interface looks neater and more minimalist. biggrin.gif

Agree..the experience of writing is much better by using Direct Input as it is able to read my handwriting flawlessly since day 1.

What they mean they can't get the handwriting to work by using Samsung keyboard instead of the Direct Input. I faced this problem too after someone reported today. Some claimed it happens after they enable Direct Input + Predictive Text.
