see the picture, first pic is the old normal method, second pic is direct input, when direct input is enabled, the first pic method doesn't convert the handwritten words to text.

yes yes this i also agree very much, its more simpler and you can write multi lines without having crap popping out, the previous method can't write multi lines.

also this allows us to use other keyboards while also having pen texting

I actually noticed that the You Tube App from the Google play store when played on the Note 3, it seems very laggy..
I meant not in terms of laggyness, but I could literally see the you tube video frame by frame..
It is very obvious that it is not smooth at all..
As compared to Note 2, the app played on Note 2 is super smooth..
Anybody faced this problem before?
When I used TubeMate the laggyness was obliterated..
So I guess is the You tube app?

I get it, ya! it is not working.

Before that is working, after I turn on prediction, now no longer working - even after reset the setting.

The second method how to enable?

Not a big issue as I believe it is a firmware bug since many user faced it. But from feedback, most of us are using Direct Input instead of Handwriting keyboard, so not much of a big impact. Hopefully Samsung will fix this glitches

so this direct input will only work after they fix it? dang i was really happy with my writing method until my fren told me auto correct is easier

I think we'll see a new update on firmware soon that will iron out all these problems and I agree with vostro - I haven't start utilizing the S-Pen yet. hardly sweat.gif

direct input it working properly is the samsung keyboard that is not working now

Just try, direct input do work, hold a few second then it work.

i applied mine on note 3, but the s pen cant function properly. It always stick to the screen protector

samsung keyboard's handwriting worked fine for me as i've been using it the whole time, until i read the thread here and tried using direct input, now direct input works but the samsung keyboard's handwriting is no longer working, damn.
