» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « You have to use this setup https://forum.lowyat.net/topic/1733801 Make sure the homeplug can get a constant 20Mbps + speed to stream Unifi HYYP TV. Anything lower the HD channels will have problem. Homeplug is ideal for single phase power. 3 phase power have to test before implement this setup. |

guys, i just installed unifi. however, it come with a wifi router and modem which i find all those cable very messy. last time i was the beta user for unifi and it only come with 1 wifi modem. i am planing to get a wifi modem to simplify the setup. may i know is there any drawback for doing so? any advantages of having a wifi router and modem separately?

Beta user? I don't think got such thing anymore. You can set up your BTU to act as Modem but no WiFi but there are no such thing as FTTH WiFi Modem You must have a router to broadcast your WiFi |

if my memory serve me well, last time it only comes with a wifi modem which is white and orange in colour. I didnt opt for IPTV that time. now, it comes with 2 silver boxes, 1 is modem and another 1 is router. but this time i opt for IPTV. as far as i know, when iw as using streamyx, i can simplify my setpup in just 1 wifi modem instead of modem and wifi router...

IPTV box 4. cordless phone (can use any other normal line phone too) |
