QUOTE(llthim @ Apr 20 2014, 01:14 AM) Hi, I would like to ask about the unifi installation in condo. I'm living in 1120 Park Avenue and I've applied the unifi. I would like to ask do I needs to get approval from my management office before I perform the installation for my unifi? Because, just now my friend told me that his condo is required to do so before making appointment for the installation. Depends on regulation of the management in the condo. Best is to consult with the management. |

QUOTE(Icehart @ Apr 20 2014, 01:07 PM) I've postpone the installation date so that I can ask info in case any extra charges on me. Thanks for your reply too.Furthermore I would like to ask is there any people heard before the UNIFI only can apply from the management office which I'm not allowed to apply through UNIFI website or any UNIFI agent. Do the management office have the right to do so? |

i am extremely disappointed with the service of unifi, a supposedly small process takes so long to be completed
here's the full story (note: the unifi account is owned by my dad, so most of the phone calls and applications were done by him) two weeks ago, my father went to the Taipan branch TM point to appoint for reallocation, he was told that it is very simple process, just bring every thing to the new house and the technician will fix it for you immediately (we are moving from Selangor to Penang) one day before the reallocation, my dad received a phone call from TM instructing him to apply again in a TM point in Penang, for whatever reason... so on the day of reallocation (tuesday), we went to Bayan Baru branch TM point to apply again, and they suddenly told us that we have to wait for TWO WEEKS because for some reason our new house address isn't in the computer system... what the ****? even if that's the case it should have been resolved long ago, since my dad went to apply two weeks before, and now we have to wait for another two weeks??? later on the same day, my dad give the call center a call , they mentioned that the address is in the system and suggested that perhaps they type the address wrongly, and ask him to go back to the TM point on the next day to address the issue so when we went back to the TM point on the next day (wednesday), they give us the same reply, my dad wasn't satisfied with the answer so he kinda made a fuss until the manager come out and say that he will send out an urgent email to the hq to address the issue on the next day (thursday), my dad call the call center again, they said that the issue has been resolved and he will received a call not later than the next morning on friday morning, my dad received an sms stating the order and mentioned that the technician will be coming on sunday, great, now we have to wait for 2 more days, he tried to negotiate to an earlier date but they said its not possible, but at least the issue is settled right? not so fast... today morning, the technician called my dad saying that he cannot install the unifi because he does not have the key to the "phone exchange point", apparently only the housing management has the key (i live in a guarded housing area), and they are not working on sunday... maybe this is not exactly TM's fault, but a few houses in this area have already been equipped with unifi, so they should have known that they need to have a key that is only carried by the housing management, so why did they appoint the installation on a sunday in the first place? now my dad is trying to get them to come tomorrow, but even that is troublesome, the technician said that he has to received the order from the call center, and the call center said that they can't issue the technicians a new order because they have not return the previous order yet (whatever that means...), now im not even sure if they can come tomorrow this is incredibly frustrating, something that should have been done ages ago was repeatedly delayed This post has been edited by lightbringer: Apr 20 2014, 06:08 PM |

In condo/apartment buildings, UniFi uses the existing phone wires without installing fiber straight into your home. Hence, no need, you apply directly through TM.Furthermore I would like to ask is there any people heard before the UNIFI only can apply from the management office which I'm not allowed to apply through UNIFI website or any UNIFI agent. Do the management office have the right to do so? For your info, in buildings such as residential condos/apt, shopping malls, office towers, in most cases, it is "Fiber to the Building", then an equipment known as MSAN is installed at the telecommunications room to connect the fiber to, and from there, it's copper all the way to your premise. |

wow man it takes 24 hours for them to reconnect your HyppTV serivce when its disconnect due to late payment. Where as Internet and Phone is fine after 4 hours..... Fine Bullshit man.
Set top box is having problem 102001 cannot find the lan cable. but when i change to my neighbour box it found it but don't have my paid packages channel. Call them tell them they say try to change unbind from old box to neighbour box. 3 times cannot. helpful Tech Support off work. New Tech Support say. your serivce not full activate so need to wait 4 more hours....... So does any know if canceling the TV while under contract will get any fines? Gonna go get a sub card of my astro from kl and join Maxis when my last 1 year is up. cuz for sure i am not donating 400 dollars for another piece of crap box since this is the 2nd time i am facing this problem in less then 6 month since the last change. lucky the first replace was within warranty |

How do I change DNS server settings on a TL-WR1043ND? My DNS settings got reverted to stock while changing routers, and I'd like to change them to something faster (at least according to Namebench)
