You can't use that router with UniFi on stock firmware.
The only way to use that router with UniFi is by flashing the firmware to OpenWrt.

There are several hardware version for the DIR-825.
What hardware version is yours? The hardware version is usually written on the sticker at the bottom of the router.

DIR-825 Hardware Versions:
A1,B1,B2,B1/2,C1,D1

Hi PoorVenderz,

You have to revert to stock firmware first before flashing OpenWrt.

DIR-825 DD-WRT WiKi: Scroll down on that page then you'll see how to revert to stock firmware.
http://dd-wrt.com/wiki/index.php/D-Link_DIR-825

Once you're back on stock firmware, you can flash to OpenWrt by reading this guide:

Yes, new package, new contract.
I confirmed with the customer service officer, when my company upgraded Biz5 to Biz 10 with promotion of extra Rm20.

There is reason why this kind of offer is made to those subscriber nearly 2 years as well as those already exceed 2 years, and not listed as "standard package" for new subscriber.

Just confirming that rizvanrp's custom router with Unifi router as VLAN bridge guide (https://rizvanrp.com/pub/unifi_athena_my/custom_routers.php.html), works with the L7-N-R2000 router provided by TM.

Using Method 2, at Step 6, you will realise that the "My Internet Connection is" dropdown is disabled. To bypass this, use Google Chrome to do the setting, press F12 to open developer tools, click on the magnifying glass and then click on the disabled dropdown. Press F2, and erase the word "disabled". I couldn't save the settings with a blank MAC address, but leaving the existing one there was fine.

At Step 11, I had to choose "Bridge" for "My Internet Connection Is", instead of the Static IP option.

Lastly remember to call Unifi centre and ask for your Unifi PPPoE password, because if you copy the password from the source code it doesn't work (encrypted).

That depends on which do you want to use.
Barrier Breaker (BB) if you want the latest firmware, but it's still in trunk version.
http://downloads.openwrt.org/snapshots/tru...hfs-factory.bin

Attitude Adjustment (AA) 12.09 if you want the latest stable firmware.
http://downloads.openwrt.org/attitude_adju...hfs-factory.bin

With BB, you will have to install LuCI GUI by yourself.
If you want a firmware with pre-installed LuCI GUI, you'll have to use AA.

Once you've flashed an OpenWrt firmware, go to "System > Backup / Flash Firmware" then "Perform reset".

Once the system reset is completed & the router finished rebooting, you can follow this guide:
http://klseet.com/index.php/tl-wr1043nd-ve...unifi-10031-rc6

That guide should be useful for D-Link DIR-825 too as TP-Link TL-WR1043ND uses the same chipset.
Although I can't vouch for this as I don't have any DIR-825 laying around to test.

Do report back if you've succeeded.
Good luck. icon_rolleyes.gif

thanks.

interesting, though. since when MCMC dictate telco to implement FUP? hmm.gif

it's up to the telco's prerogative on enforce FUP or not.

since unifi has no serious competitor (nearest would be TIME and ABNxcess), i wonder why MCMC reacted such sweat.gif

until TM announce this publicly, we can only speculate.

extra charge? should be no charge after throttle. MCMC doesnt allow denial of service after quota is reached, hence that's why all telcos limit the speed to extra low (64/128kbps), which technically is usable.

rmeember last time Maxis totally blocked data service after quota is reached, till customers were furious brows.gif

that's where telco makes (more) money by selling quota/booster plans! smile.gif if tedious, subscribe to higher quota plan (also pay more too).
