If I upgrade from 1Mbps to VIP5, will the HyppTV free for all channels on the first month?
Something like free for testing.
I would like to test at least I know which channels that I want to subscribe.

RM150 can only get you 2 types:
ASUS RT-N12 D1
TP-Link TL-WR1043ND

Get ASUS if you want reliability & stability.
Get TP-Link if you want extra features.

By the way, which router did you get from TM? D-Link DIR-615 or L7-N-R2000?

Owh my, that's the first router used by TM for UniFi customers.
You must be among the first batch of UniFi customers. biggrin.gif

Given the recommendation of router will go for Asus RT-N12D1. am a complete noob in these. when I get these router, it would not be easy as plug and play right ?

can someone spend sometime PLEASEEE...... step by step guide.

1. plug out old one, plug in new one according to the point.
2. can switch on already.
3.
4.

I think one need a pc to do something, IP address or log in to Asus network... that is where I start to get lost. Do one need to log in to my UNIFI account to perform this change as I dunno the login id/password to unifi. I know the password to access internet from pc/ipad but not unifi id/password.

Appreciate all help.

thanks so much in advance.

If you ask me to recommend, I don't recommend both of them.
I'd recommend at least ASUS RT-N14UHP.
The RT-N14UHP has a usb port which can do wonders for you such as:
* Turn a USB printer into a network printer. This way, you can print from any PC / laptop / smartphones.
* Connect an external harddisk share it with everyone. You can even access files inside the external harddisk from outside of your house by using FTP.
* With an external harddisk connected to the USB port, you can use the pre-installed download manager to download torrents. The router will download torrents & save it directly to the connected external harddisk. This way, you don't have to use any PC / laptop to download torrents & at the same time, you save power & reduce electricity consumption.

ASUS RT-N14UHP also has a very large WiFi coverage. Much much stronger than the TP-Link TL-WR1043ND & ASUS RT-N12 D1.

Can be done, but your friend will get 5Mbps only instead of 20Mbps.
