Guys,Altec Lansing speakers very good ah? My bro recommended them to me. Since all the taiko here use this brand can anyone recommend me a good set of speakers? Cant tahan wearing my A500 headphones for long.
I'm mainly using it for games, music and movies. Budget <RM300
I listen to all kinds of music, though i tend to stay away from hip hop and rap.
And i'm using a creative extreme music soundcard. Hope that helps.

Just a quick note here

Bought both a Altec Lansing FX4021 and then later bought an Edifier S330 for a second computer of mine.

Took a listen to both of them side by side and the Altec Lansing's reproduction was clearer and could go up louder without the sound quality going down. Considering both are in the same price range (RM400+) and the FX4021 comes with a wireless remote, I would say the Altec Lansing wins hands down especially with the simpler cabling (no clips kthx) and the SFX features.

The midrange does seem a bit weak though on the Altec.

Not to say that the Edifier was bad but it was just not really of the same quality as the Altec Lansing in my opinon.

Let say in this way, quality are the same for both...only different ppl different taste.

Anyway my MX5021 wireless remote control malfunction adi, don't know whether remote or receiver malfunction, i only know i seldom use (1 time/half year) ...

need some help here......
after doing summer cleanup of my house..
found my old trusty acs45.1 hidden....

then i remember why i dont use it anymore..its bcos the s-video kinda plug is not working anymore.....
when plug in..only here 1 side speaker..

does anyone know where to do this repair??

Huh? Why u say so? Can elaborate?

becoz the M3300 by default is oredi very good in music performance even u use with onboard soundcard, the satelites can perform very wide sound and the bass are jus right for music , but some ppl might dun like the bass becoz it not punchy enuff for those who want boom boom effect, so if u use this speaker with X-fi soundcard ,the bass get a very noticeable boost and resulted a better feeling and overall improve the sound of the speaker.

With the budget u have , usually ppl will go for Altec lansing VS4121 ,why ?
-nice looking
-heavy bass ( really heavy and become annoying in certain music)
-popular lo
-no choice
- believe that altec lansing is the best

The downside of VS4121 will not easily to be detect if u never listen to other better speakers, once u try to listen to M3300 , and go back to listen the 4121 again , u will know Especially with female voice

Sry for a lot of bullshit i duno how to describe better with my poor english still the same advise , different ppl different taste , test them b4 buy to pick the right speaker for urself . Comment from other ppl jus for reference

If i want to buy altec now , only MX5021 fall into my consideration

finally my cables arrived to replace my mx5021 stock cables.. after the cable replacement.. the mid and highs all came alive! just love it!

Did you hear anything when you switched on for thefirst time when in Malaysia? Is the input power the same for US and Malaysia? There 110 volts maybe?
