QUOTE(mfa333 @ Jun 15 2007, 02:36 PM) ok, btw Tuniq, Noctua and Ninja, which 1 is the best if setting it as passive cooler(using low cfm,low dB fan)? If you wanted a HSF with Fan but low noise, you wont get wrong with Noctua NH-U12F. The fan is great, and at the same time, no noise at all. Heard recommendation for the HSF which seems to perform well. Maybe you could check it out..But, if you wanted something to be absolutely fanless, passive setup, i do recommend going for the TR HR-01. Saw some really good results from my cousin's setup and if in the future you wanted to coupled it together with a fan, you can see some amazing results..His HR-01 on Push-Pull configuration can go as low as 30c during the night on his Opteron 165 (at stock).. Fan is silent, and if you want ultra-silent, just use the ULNA (ultra low noise adapter) that comes with it......But, if you wanted something to be absolutely fanless, passive setup, i do recommend going for the TR HR-01. QUOTE(Hyde`fK @ Jun 16 2007, 03:47 PM) That is stupid.You can't even put huge graphic cards below it. That is plain stupid. More cons about this heatsink, but i rather put the main thing about that heatsink that is you can't put most of the high end graphic cards below it. What's going on with scythe? |

Doesn't seem to be practical for normal usage...even the end of the fins bends due to the weight.

Both of them are great performers you should be fine with any of them. However reviews tends to show Big Typhoon VX to perform slightly better.-adios- |

anyone can advice me on how to cool down my ram?
im using Cooler Master Hyper TX AM2. and it blocked 2 of my ram slots.. while the ram cooler cover all 4 slots, definitely i cannot be fitted.. a picture (hope it will help) » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « so let say if i wanna use Allngap's ram cooler, what should i do to make it perfectly fit? and im thinking of changing to CM Gemini as well, but can it cool down my ram too? or can recommend me any decent AM2 hsf that can cool down both my proc and ram? thanks |

The Gemini will be able to cool your RAMs.
So basically Shawty's picture is serious because he's suggesting the GeminI |

@kalakatu
geminII basically cover upper half (if ATX) of the mobo. northbridge, cpu, pwm, ram, etc all are covered. widest coverage lol but prepared for high cfm fan (and noise) as it's more effective pushing air toward your mobo, that HSF raised quite high from mobo. |

u can see from uncle ho's setup, the heat sink itself not that big, but the fan bracket can hold 2 fan togerther, basically the ram will be cover (in the correct orientation) then u jsut adjust the fan more over to the ram side
anyway TR HR-01 is really tall beware of that, it's good, the LG775 bolt thrud kit fitting is easy and solid too |
