I've seen people's rig using both Biostar Tforce 570U and GeminII together.

Anyway the worse thing that can happen is you have to route the cable near your motherboard and keeping it low. Thats all probably.

Maybe you should ask GeminII users about it.

Just wonderning how large is the performance gap between the Noctua, Thermalright Ultra 120 and Scythe Ninja using the same fan? Thinking of changing my Ninja tongue.gif

Not much of a difference. I would suggest just sticking with the Ninja eventhough it's not the coolest but it perform good enough even for overclocking. Unless you want the best core temp reading or really want it to be the coolest you could get with air cooling then opt for Thermalright Ultra 120 Extreme.

If there's about 5c difference between them i would consider changing, ninja can't handle c2duo very good when over 3Ghz

Hmm...kinda high i think. But i'm not sure what is the safe operating temp for C2D. But usually should keep it below 70C right? Still ok i think. If you can reduce 5C here, it does makes a different. I think 120 extreme should satisfy your rig. I dont think Noctua is capable in your case, but then again i'm not sure. Maybe you want to put on to the test? Hehehe

Aha....IFX only got 4 heatpipes on top of the proc, and 2 at the back. But 120 extreme got 6 on top of the proc. Far more better IMO.

Wrong.
More heatpipes doesn't mean it'll be better than others.
Check the original website for the IFX-14.

The heatpipes for the IFX-14 is thicker & fatter than the normal heatpipe used in Ultra 120 eXtreme.

Google around before u say that.
And gives proof for what you said. smile.gif

That's why i said IMO. I didn't say what i said is the true fact. And why thicker and fatter heatpipes are better?

Larger space for the gas to move up and more gas can be filled in the heatpipe which results to better heat transfer. smile.gif

I see...so more heat can be move at one time. But one thing i'm not sure of, isn't the contact point between heatpipes and the fins is also important? 4 fat heatpipes, compared to six thin heatpipes...which one have a greater surface contact with the fins? 2(pi X (diameter/2))???? rclxub.gif rclxub.gif rclxub.gif rclxub.gif laugh.gif
