for the spec above what CPU cooler do u suggest?
budget RM150

i was thinking Artic cooling Freezer 64, Cooler Master Hyper Tx (AMD) and Thermaltake blue orb. Any comment or any other suggestion ?
thanks

my room ambient? or my case temp? my case temp is around 36C, not sure about my room temp though... Ya, previously my intel stock temp is about 50C and yesterday i max the new FreezerPro and it managed to reduced to 39~40C.... so, about 10C cooler. but in silent mode, only managed around 45C.

I think different mobo will give different temp readings. another forumer's CPU temp is around 42C only using intel stock cooler.
*
different types of TIM maybe? or different internal case airflow.. hmm.gif

ok, btw Tuniq, Noctua and Ninja, which 1 is the best if setting it as passive cooler(using low cfm,low dB fan)?
*
for fanless aka passive cooling, I think scythe ninja is the best. IIANM, it is designed to use in fanless mode.

actually i think tuniq does a better job compared to the ninja and infinity.
but then again, the airflow of the case plays a factor.

i had a ninja way back then, outperformed by my infinity and i tried the tuniq tower. i mean the diff is not that significant, but its still there (about 1 - 2 degrees)
*
but ninja is cheaper than tuniq and infinity biggrin.gif
1~2 degrees is a small amount for me

why I cant control the fan speed using that software meh? or is it not compatible with my cheapo mobo? anyway, my OCed pentium 4 2.66GHz [oc to 2.99GHz] got this temp using my ninja [passive, no fan attached].

is it good?

You need to enable the "automatic fan control". However, it is not that easy. You need to  properly set the CPU fan settings on the configure menu. Try googling speedfan guide on how to set the speedfan to run optimally.....
*
have googled around and try to set it as in the guide but still didnt manage to control any of my fan doh.gif

Ok. Do you know which one is controlling your CPU fan? Is it speed01 or speed02?

You can know by reducing the speed from 100% to 0%. The fan will stop!
*
dunno which one but try to reduce the speed to 0% but none of them stop spinning doh.gif

why need to set ut system fan to 0%???
better get an extra fan controller......like TT Hardcano
*
lolz, it costs $$ lorh.. try to use alternative choices tongue.gif

QUOTE(kmarc @ Jun 23 2007, 09:49 PM)
Errr.... you don't have a CPU fan right? What fans are you using and where are they attached to? Make sure your fan connector on the mobo supports fan rpm sensor. You have to check your mobo's manual for that.....
*
one of them is CM silent LED fan and the other is scythe fan, both of them attach to my mobo. i'm sure it supports fan rpm sensor because when I try to stop it by hand, it shows 0 rpm.

pair GeminII with silverstone FM122 fan. cost a lot but definitely high CFM and noise

FM122 costs around rm60. 2 units around rm120 + geminII (rm140) = rm260 sweat.gif

the casing dun have front intake ka? check it properly. if it has, so the front should be intake while side and rear as exhaust. anyway, side also can be used as intake.

it has the caging for a 120mm, BUT the exterior of the case has no holes except the usb port and multimedia ports in the bottom front of the casing.

i only have side and rear sad.gif
i was actually thinking of side for outake :shy:
*
the fan can be put there, but of course lesser airflow since it doesnt have any ventilation holes to suck in the air. send your case to uncle ianho la, ask him to make a top blowhole for you brows.gif
