see..."only a tissot"...tissot is really the seiko of the west.
they've diluted themselves too much with entry lvl models that ppl dont seem to see their RM20-30k models.

And Seiko despite of the dilution, has much more innovative models and historical provenance than Tissot tongue.gif

Hmm... IWC claims the pilot thing too and it seems just about every brand has a model that claims pilot heritage.

Even the Rolex Air King has supposed Battle of Britain Spitfire pilot provenance.

Is it because pilots buy a lot more watches than say.. an accountant?
1. Never heard a watch that chuck chuck chuck and ding ding dings like a train + bell tower crossover  laugh.gif

2. That's the hidden "reverse hacking function".  biggrin.gif For non hacking watches, apply slight backwards pressure on the crown to stop the second hand for precision time synchronization.

I would guess pilots and military personnel needs watches because they need to meet at 1600 hours and shoot somebody. Can't do that if you don't have a watch.

Accountants would have a clock in the office so no need for them to wear watches really...just a guess..

I remembered there are watches made specifically for doctors.
With the outer rim printed with a tachymetre like scale but for measuring pulse.
Need to dig up more info...

Guys, I will start a new job next month. Thinking of buying a watch to enhanced my professional look. Any ideas for good corporate looking watch but not too expensive?. My budget is around 500++.

I think many here will point you towards a Seiko. If I;m not mistaken, there will be a Seiko gtg at Amcorp tomorrow, 11AM-1PM, Starbucks. Maybe you can check it out.

There are also a plethora of watch shops in Amcorp as well. Good luck with the hunt.

Datejust is doctors favourite, many medic students like to buy Datejust as graduation watch.

So watches won't escape from gst next year? Does that mean higher prices since currently they are not taxed?
