The Hublot looks like something Darth Vader would wear LOL. But I'm sure some Russian oligarch will buy it eventually.

Me too, want to have a look in person first. I heard an owner said wearing a Panerai magically makes your penis longer...so want to find out.

Thanks for the tip buddy.

Surprised you have the need for that

^Who's the maker planned for this? Sandwich dial looks good but lack of a seconds hand bothers me a bit.

Let's do some charity,

The watch itself looks like a typical fashion watch, which I do not mind at all (might even wear it for a quirky look). The only thing is the accountability issue: the contribution may be quantified but who determines how much money really goes to the charities. IMO a marketing ploy by the owner but if it really benefits the under-privileged, all power to them.

Anyway, I'm guestimating the manufacturing cost per watch would be in the sub USD5 range, based on this.

wah. means u guys so master in recognized which one is original and fake by seeing picture only. i only spot one, no swiss made stated. and watch look like cheap. i searched in the tag heuer website there is no such kind of this model
*
The look and feel of the watch is the first giveaway, e.g. weight, dial markers, edges of casing/bracelet etc. Plus if you see can see the escapement ('tourbillon wannabe') it is most likely a Chinese fake. For the watched you posted, not only is it fake, but a very ugly one too laugh.gif

There is a possibility that he was duped into believing it's real. Anyway a fake's a fake but I wouldn't make a statement of it to acquaintances unless they are close friends.

Just asking guys, how much does Audemars charge or how much does a watch with the owner's name carve on the dial worth?

*please don't tell me it cannot be done cause I'm holding one right now.  tongue.gif
*
No one said it cannot be done. Case back engraving is very common, but I don't think they are usually done by the manufacturer, even JLC sources the services of a third party artisan for Reverso engravings.

A watch with engraved case back would probably be worth less than one without.

If only you understand wtf a watch dial is.

Below the words Audemars Piguet is the person's initials. H. S. Grewal.

Oh sori missed out the dial. You didn't happen to get that at a pawn shop did you? I would be very careful...being in possession of stolen goods would be quite risky.

You can just stroll in to your boss' room and get a close up look at his AP, and yet you choose to ask a q regarding it in a forum full of dubious characters? Are there trust issues between you and him?

Hi guys, where can we find Patek Philippe 2499 homage?
its like almost impossible for normal people to own one, so im looking for a homage biggrin.gif

Dude, you're wearing a 20k watch. Save up a bit more and you can probably go for pre-owned PP (not a perp calendar of course). Ingersoll is so way below you.

Now days really felt unsafe wearing a 20k watch walk on street.. although just a steel one.

SS or PVD Nighthawk? I got a PVD because I was thinking about resale value and have been regretting it ever since (esp whenever I see an SS version) sad.gif

Also, my brain is hardwired to look funny at a Quartz above ~2k. Can't justify it to my brain tongue.gif
*
Used to own the havana version (brown dial with leather strap) but sold it and got a black-dial on SS bracelet. Kind of miss the old one.

The question is do you think it's worth it? No doubt Zenith is a respectable brand and the El Primero movement legendary. But the two-tone casing doesn't work for me and for that kind of money, there are lots of other choices.

If you want to stick to Zenith may I suggest the Captain Winsor Chronograph. You'll get an annual calendar complication for about the same amount of money.

^What was the deal breaker?

I like the dial, but not the way the lugs taper away from the case. And what's that protruding part between the crowns? A bit unnecessary if you ask me.

I inquired on the Speedy Pro's price from WUS forum AD (I think it was Ace) around 1-2 years ago. At that time's exchange rate I think it was less than 10k after discount for a new 3570.50.

I don't think Rolex is going to swap out a black bezel for a different colored one. Anyway, not easy to get parts from sources other than Rolex themselves, or so I've heard.
