My new bike, which I am using to ride from PJ to KL.  Trying to use it on a daily basis to go to work, but the gearing leaves me pedalling "air" when I am on the level road, worse if it is downhill.

The Problem is:  the wheels are 16 inches, the crank is 48T and the smallest rear cog is 14T.

What are my upgrade options?  any suggestions?
If you see a guy with a red helmet pedalling furiously along the road to KL, its probably me...  sad.gif

from having an experience of riding bmx a lot beofre, i would say that the feel of my current foldies and my last bmx are just about the same. even my current foldie are much lighter than i remmber how my bmx was and it temp me really hard to try simple things like bunny hop and run down the stairs laugh.gif

still, didn't dare to do it since I just got my foldie recently so i might wait for another couple of months maybe before doing those things sweat.gif

I wouldn't dare to say the same as BMX geometry is much different. Moreover, foldie has hinge and bolt smack right in the frame hence that will be the weakest point that I am most afraid. Also due to the latch on the headset. sweat.gif

true, but once I tried adjust the seat and handle to suit my best preference and when it low enough its not much of a difference from bmx tho.
but foldies are foldies so I better ride it like a foldies~ not to mention that im just a newbie also laugh.gif

yeah the weak point what scare me off from trying some crazy idea sweat.gif

Fully utilized mah.. brows.gif
Not all trail are rideable. Some to the extend of 70% pushing. doh.gif
Especially those rocky uphill and downhill with steep drop and roots.
Afraid that our low geometry foldies doenst have the clearance hence if no confident, push. sweat.gif
