Oh okay; a present. Interesting. The prices are listed on the website. I buy directly from the website and they'll ship to Malaysia. After conversion; still cheaper than what you find in Malaysia.

In Malaysia; only Adidas gloves are the latest models range. Even the Nike is at least 6 months old. And they tend to only stock the lower model range.

glozz, i wanna be like you. Can teach me how to become a super goalkeeper?  wub.gif

Lesson number 1. Change your name from Khai. Try something manly; like Kha-isu-ijai. Try to avoid names like Howard as it's kinda sissy.
Lesson number 2. Wear tighter shirts. If you can find shirts that'll emphasize your cleavage; even better.
Lesson number 3. Try not to move before someone kicks the ball. You'll discover that you can actually save the ball if you were in the direction of the ball.

That'll be RM100 please. drool.gif

Erm; what other info would you like? I think I've already said my experiences with the 2 Adidas FS gloves. I've also used the 2008 model Adidas FS Replique. Stay away as it's quite awful.

Don't know how to buy? Ermm; just read the descriptions and see whether you like the gloves? There's nothing much to it?

I've already given my suggestions. If you're really keen on Adidas FS gloves; this one seems alright; but I think it's just a souped-up model and mixture of the FS Carbon and the strengths of the 2008 Fingersave though:

http://www.prodirectsoccer.com/prodinfo.as...=6&BRAND=1&SS=1

No thumb protectors though. To be honest; I've no opinions 'bout the Response pro 'cause I've never used it before and not interested in it 'cause it doesn't have any FS. Has it arrived in Malaysia yet; the 2009 Response Pro?

Well; it's not that I like. I used to use without; until I had couple of finger injuries 'cause my teammates and in tournies; everyone shoots like shit and their shots tend to see first before hearing the sound. So fingers lotsa injuries.

how to buy online? Use credit card lorr.

Well; if you find something you like; I'm sure we can arrange a group buy or something like that.

Maybe my fingers are soft or something larr; but most normal people's shot I can use normal gloves and no problems. But my teammates and some of the better teams we've played against; must really use FS gloves or else fingers will just be too sore or you'll end up having to parry too many shots away.

Response Pro ? In Malaysia ? Sure ?

I used to be a fan of rollfinger gloves. Adidas Fingertip Replique & Puma King 4.0 are the only rollfinger gloves I know exists in Malaysia. Response Pro is negative cut. Preferred by Van Der Sar & Pepe Reina. I can vouch for Fingertip Replique, it's one of the best gloves I've ever owned.

I`ve been a goalie since in standard 4..trained with older boys and all..played for school.. the for daerah.. then in form 1 I has to wear glasses so.. move up to be a defender...

only now I thinking bout going back between the sticks.. but on last futsal session where I try to gather my skill back..

all my team mates are shit..leaving me alone 2 vs 1 against strikers.. manage to save all 1v1 but then their team mates hit the rebound.. i hate my team mate..

ah and thinking about a new pair of glove...main kinda hard already all this years.. which one offer more safety to my palm eh guys? i`m not updated in glove..

Catching ball where necessary is a safer option especially for futsal where rebounds can be easily poached. If got to parry; best to parry for corner.

FS gloves do protect; up to a certain point. However, it does so at the expense of catching technique.

I'm still undecided between rollfinger, normal and negative cut gloves. Each has pros and cons. I guess it depends on the individual. Well; unfortunately I wear through gloves relatively fast. That's not a good thing. cry.gif tongue.gif

Catching technique? Well; the only way to fix that is you've got to do drills to catch the ball. Try getting someone to toss the ball at you while you're doing sit-ups. That'll help 'bit.

Alternatively; another drill is to place 2 balls either side of you and you stand in the middle. You can do 3 different type of dives (from crouching, from mid-level crouch, and from ready position) at the ball and catch the ball as you finish the dive.

Here 'ya go:

http://blog.great-save.com/glove-cut-review/

In practise; it all depends on what you want. In my personal opinion; I feel Roll-finger gloves are the easiest gloves to get used to because it offers a large finger-to-ball contact area as compared to the other cuts without sacrificing cushioning.

I believe the preference is however; up to you. The negative cuts tend to offer a similar feel as the roll-finger; but since the latex is nearer to the fingers, cushioning is sacrificed.

Best would be to try it out and once again; try not to use new gloves that you've not worn before for important matches and tournaments. Get 'couple of friendlies into them so as to get used to the feel first.
