your charging temperature chart demn strange....how come the temp drop at battery 73% like that....

mine is 45C deg for the whole duration of charging...I m puzzled. is totally different from yours by 3-4C degree
Edit: I also use default charger and no aircon room. U too?

most puzzling is why urs drop temp to 27C while still charging...it is like the temp when the phone is totally idle. but honestly, at this point ie 74% i didnt really check my temperature. see your chart only I realised

my friend htc 1x is charging temp 35C. considerably lower than ours. 7c deg difference...edit: or 10C deg in my case

and your charge time quite decent. about 2.5hrs for 90%....thats about right for 0 to 100% about 3hrs as stated. I didnt really time mine accurately

Seller shipped using Singapore post. It took 17days to get to me from day of placing order which is quite fast for free shipping considering I'm in West Africa.

No worries cos our battery is bigger they use bigger Amp charger... so it will charge the phone faster... as long as it does not goes over 45 it is ok.. that is battery temp not CPU temp...
When I do overclocking on my older phone we make sure it slowdown a lil after 45 and if it goes until 50, the app will tune down the cpu speed to half so the cpu will cool down...

Its either GSam wrong or my P780 (4GB) is special laugh.gif

Q : Most phones tickle charge start from what %?
From chart it seems from 75/80%.
Maybe this caused temp to drop since lower amp pumped charger.

I'll do another one tonight after draining my batt and c if similar readings.

Ya I agree that the apps/software is programmed to do this.

the funny thing is that the p780 manual also exactly stated that
"Avoid exposing the P780 to extreme temperatures (lower than -10°C or higher than 45°C)." That kind pique my curiosity; I'm 1 more degree away from 'EXTREME TEMP' Lol

I was wondering 45C DEG? Why it seem such a great coincidence or lenovo knew this phone was gonna have a 45 deg charging temperature so I started feeling curious and ask around you guys what charging temp u guys having from avoiding 'exposing to ext temp'.

Coz In longterm I do want a 'healthy' battery lifespan (edit:coz as we know ,heat reduces battery lifespan) also thats why digging into this mini-topic and the factors that cause varying charging temperature btw phones of same model. unless kl temp is lower 3deg than kk in the case of matshadow

The same model, same charger, theoretically should beget around same temperature right. I still want to check my phone charging why is matshadow temp drops at 73%....demn strange. What causes that linear drop while still charging
Well, I'm just doing this for fun now dont worry biggrin.gif

Wayfeel,

1. GSam readings was done at late nite.
2. Its raining season so temp lower.
3. Yes, room got aircond but set temp comfortably 27C.

Why not u do d same and post ur GSam here for us to compare.

Oh, btw.. Could it be mine tweak v6SuperCharger script?
I really duno what & how this script does its magic. Everything is on nitro and my P780 runs like never b4. Maybe this scrip also do magic to my batt..?
I have been trying a lot of tweaks avail since my phone recovered from coma. So if u ask me what or which of tweaks did its magic.. I really2 duno. wink.gif

I've been into situation like you before. I uninstall my contact and dialer *im stupid i know*. It is best if you could provide what your ROM version right now. So those who are using the same rom can do the backup and share it with you.

The BEST way is to reflash back to ori rom.. This based on my experience wink.gif

too much cache.
What I did was this, basically just backup everything with the built in backup app, reformat your phone, then restore the backup, then you'll have everything back, but mysteriously 500MB of trash gone drool.gif

If the price is the same+got warranty (ori SME), go for Samsung s3+Anker 4400mah Extended Battery.

I am using s3+ori 3k battery, min sot 5 hours with heavy usage (flash rom/backup and etc) brows.gif

Make sure you update to the latest rom at least 4.1.2 to avoid SDS.

Now waiting for my P780 to arrive brows.gif icon_idea.gif

Well without root I would say surely this phone battery will last longer...
But after root and customer lighter ROM installed that might be S3...
But S3 has some problem... search online n check properly the unit had those defect or not... if not I would not sold off mine after less than 5 months of usage...
FYI I must have dual Original battery daily for S3 means more than 4000mAh... this I still have some to spare after 12 hrs even I abuse it...

ohmy.gif really envy u got free phone...
