I think in your case you can pay RM99 to convert your astro subscription one off for life if you wish to.

Caught the promo spot on TV. The indoor reception of mediacorp DVB-T2. Woodlands is only next year. So, if you can already receive it now around JB area, signals will be even stronger in time to come. Cheers!

This may a repeated question.

I want to ask whether Astro (using disc not IPTV) can output to Avermedia C027 HD card thru HDMI? Just to watch Astro no need to record. I don't have any TV set right now, thinking to watch on pc. Last time I used to watch Hypptv IPTV using this HD card.

I have visits Astro sales office just now and the officer said that decoder is so smart that only can display on TV but not other devices. Is it true?

Gurus please guide me. Thanks.

Does your capture card support HDCP and 1080i resolution? If yes, just ignore what the customer service said and subscribe. What he meant is the HDCP stripper built into your TV's main board. Think of it as a lock.

I am not so sure, can you help to take a look on this card specs here

update: seems that kah lai toi is the replacement channel of jiayu, seen on facebook but the admin didn't confirm yet. I smell that another inhouse in the making.
I almost forgot about this.
a tribute channel for run run shaw(ch399) last time said rescheduled because of mh370 but whether it is gone forever or not.

Any of you know how to switch off video feed from the decoder during radio listening? I used to be able to see my screen turning off (dark black) when I switch the banner off (nothing on screen) after a few seconds in the past. However, this does not work anymore because even though I turn my banner off, the lcd tv is still on permanently as I can see the black colour on the TV is not the dark black but light black, which means it's still on.

Also, anybody know the font used in the latest new interface?

What is the meaning of Wah, Kah and Lai? If I'm not mistaken, Toi means "channel" isn't it?

Still remember my good old days where astro packages was still 'cheap'. We used to subscribe for all the channels back then and Wah lai Toi is one of my favourite channel although I'm Malay. TVB Drama was really good back then. Square pegs, Golden Faith, War and beauty, Heart of Greed, Moonlight resonance, No regrets etc etc....

Kah Lai Toi=佳丽太 I guess 佳丽is beauty

Actually, Astro 華麗台 = Wah Lai Toi (Ironicly Google Translate it as WLT instead)

Asteruk just updated their website, revised interface for the tv guides and such - not major revision though the colours and such changed. The old interface was crappy to max, lags and hard to navigate.

The one you typed is traditional Chinese, the one I typed is simplified Chinese.

Dear all, would need some advise on this issue.

For 2 months i have been using my home subscribed astro service in one of my futsal club (its considered a commercial property but we didnt use it for public). 2 astro sales executive came to our place 11pm at night claiming that we could not use this astro for commercial use and that unless we convert to commercial astro package on the spot or they would write a report to their HQ and issue us a legal letter. Without any proper document of warning from astro, i consider this as a sales scam where they only left me 2 options, Subscribe my commercial package or receive legal action. What is this. I am not even allowed to cancel or remove the decoder and place it back home.

Need all the sifu here for advise. Thank you very much.
