I think it's because of the lacking RAM and shit ass processor.

Meanwhile in Indonesia...

They already moved 100% to MPEG-4 since yesterday, while we are still stuck with the old MPEG-2 just FOR THE SAKE OF SOME NJOI USER AND THOSE WHO ARE REFUSED TO CHANGE THEIR DECODER TO BYOND! doh.gif Perhaps Astro should act more aggressively now... rolleyes.gif

For those who are not understand Indonesian language, this noticed tells the telkomvision subscriber who are still using the old mpeg-2 decoder to immediately change their decoder to MPEG-4 one because they will ceased the transmission via MPEG-2 starting on 1st May 2014 (yesterday).

NJOI users are not at fault if they are using the newer Zapper decoders( rebranded from Byond).
Those older users are so ignorant. Most of them are old and don't fukin care about MPEG-4.

I beg to differ, astro has no interest in moving to MPEG4,their excuses are lame, they wl continue cheating msians with MPEG2 somply bcos they hv no competetion and they are only concerned to protect personal interest and things like card sharing. yawn.gif They launch satelite after satelite not for local use but to lease transponders to other countries, msians are still fed with In House crap channels and channel addition is a luxury!

cannot just blame the users, because we also hardly see Astro put in any effort to initiate the "trade your old decoder" campaign, they just continue to sell their new Byond package while hardly tell anything regarding the MPEG migration to existing older decoder users.

I remember that was one of their intention to re-list the company on KLSE, in order to grab funding to do decoder change in a large scale, however now almost 2 years has elapsed, bayang pun tak nampak, internally, the company cut cost drastically in last year, so that we can see the holding gross profit increase in the recent annual report rolleyes.gif

RM500 if I'm not mistaken. If you're out of your contract, you can just cancel after paying up the bills.
