As one Astro staff has confirmed, 10 channels for Maxis IPTV is:
1. HBO Hits HD 2. HBO Signature HD 3. HBO Family HD 4. WeTV HD 5. BBC Entertainment SD 6. Setanta Rugby HD 7. Eurosports HD 8. Channel M HD 9. Comedy Central HD 10. Star Plus HD
Very tempting to sign up for this. Only thing is Maxis internet seems to have very bad reviews...
Just thought I'd add me take on the Astro on-the-go service. I linked up my account a while ago but never really tried it out.
I'm quite impressed actually. Watched all the Football league highlight shows on demand and the quality is quite good. Live channels are good also, just a shame there are only a select few. Why don't they have all their channels online? I hope they continue to develop this service as it has a lot of potential I think!
(My only gripe is it doesn't work overseas, else I'd use it for live BPL matches while in the UK...a lot cheaper than subscribing to sky sports)
I received a call a few weeks ago regarding the Astro/Maxis TV and internet bundle. As my 2 years on Unifi was up we decided to take them up on it as it was cheaper. It was installed today but I am overseas until April so won't get a chance to have a look at it for quite a while . Apparently there are some new channels, does anyone have a list of them (with channel numbers) as I can't seem to find them on the Astro website? Thanks.
Short version? Placeshifting. I can watch from any room and any TV around the house. Can also watch from mobile devices or any PCs. Can watch from halfway across the world even if the connection is stable.

It's like the SlingBox, except it's more flexible.
Might be in HD too. Just like E!, you need to LB extend it for the "16:9" experience of it.
Oh, I was hoping that astro had implemented SD 16:9 channels .
Seems silly that they get 16:9 feeds yet they letterbox them before broadcast. Why not broadcast them as received and let the STB letterbox it if the user has a 4:3 TV or display it au natural if the user has a widescreen...
So jelly. Also: >Channel [V] > beTV > BBC Entertainment. Never forgot, Asstroll
I heard BBC Entertainment was meant to be on Astro IPTV (along with 9 other channels from their "Astro Select" category) but I can't find it anywhere...
Since it's already 2014 now, I think your decoder should be the 2nd generation made by Samsung with build in wifi receiver...
To receive the new epg update, just leave your decoder on standby mode when you're not watching tv. Upgrade process will be done phase by phase from end of February until end of this month. If you still not receive the update by 30 April, then you should immediately make a complaint to Astro.
Hmm, when I swapped to Maxis IPTV they replaced my 1st gen PVR and non-PVR boxes for two new 1st gen PVRs, not the second gen one. Is there much difference apart from the wifi?
I am not so sure, can you help to take a look on this card specs here
Thanks,

Just saw an ad that there will be Fox Sports 2 and Fox Sports 3. Tried searching for the info and I only found that they are renaming Star Sports to Fox Sports 2 and Fox Sports Plus to Fox Sports 3.
Does that mean the HD programming on Fox Sports will not appear any more on Fox Sports Plus (Fox Sports 3)?
Just saw that. Probably will be some simulcasts for live stuff like football.
Does anyone use Astro IPTV with Maxis? How is the experience? Worry that the line is not stable to stream the HD channels.
The internet and tv have their own bandwidth allocations so one won't slow down the other.
Works fine most of the time, although a few weeks ago for a few days the tv would cut off every evening for a few hours. OK now though. Worth the $$$ savings over satellite subscription and unifi fibre.
They really need to reorganise the sports channels so all the ASSP channels are together then the FS channels, then the rest. Not so intuitive to surf through them in the current order.
