Hi guys...need some feedback

Currently i'm using Unifi 5mbps rm149, i'm considering getting astro superpack 3 RM155
Dilemma is this, should i go with Unifi + Astro or Maxis + Astro IPTV + Phone ?

Unifi + Astro = RM 149 + RM 155
= RM 304

Maxis + Astro IPTV + Phone = RM 148 + RM130 + RM20
= RM298

If i go with Maxis option i would be paying slightly less in total + 10 additional select channels but then after contract finish if i decide to terminate Astro, I will not have any tv programmes to watch compared to Unifi.

Another thing is that i don't know how good is maxis once i switch over to them, how good is their customer support? So far been using Unifi for 2+ years no issue, very happy with the service.

you should go with it.
or you can get unifi vip 10+superpack 3.
just like me, low ping unlike maxis fiber.
if you upgrade from vip 5 can get platinium, chinese or sports pack free. I recommend platinium as it have a lot channels not available in astro.worth the 50 bucks for the channels and internet.

P/S:Many people are unsatisfied with maxis fiber

Some also say disconnect frequently.

he means two different subscription obviously.
and if you can hack it, it might work as they both have the same backbone.

The best part here is astro plays save if u dont get astro it is not astro fault (just like in all other issues ) its the HSBB problem of Unifi and Maxis!! We hv read many complains from customers when traffic is heavy ,reception unsatisfactory and astro had said its not their problem end but the network!

Can I check for astro originated HD chs like mustika HD, Maya HD, supersport HD etc. If the program source is in 4:3, does astro stretch them to fit the screen. Can someone post some Pixs if possible? Tks.

ananda krishan owns maxis so he will blame tm for that, meanwhile unifi is so stable, which translates maxis and astro arent stable at all

Nah. They keep the original (4:3) tv ratio even for 16:9 screen. That said, Sony Pictures Television Network channels (SET, beTV (HD), ONE (HD), AXN (HD) & Animax) still doing worst by stretching their 4:3 (either default 4:3 or 4:3 letterbox) video in their HD channels. wink.gif
