QUOTE(Joshua_0718 @ Oct 1 2013, 10:24 AM) Can always do verification on my personal information right? I do agree with your point, but, with the availability of social network nowadays, our "personal" information is not really that "personal" anymore though. anyway, what I wanted to say is that their action is to protect the users(although it does provide some inconvenience ) This post has been edited by wcypierre: Oct 1 2013, 10:45 AM

But not all information will be posted in social network, like your full IC number, your account number, phone number(most likely able to get in social network), etc... Guess I have no choice, there is only one branch in JB.

Did anyone asked you to fill up a survey form with your ic, address included before? which is totally why I hate to fill up those survey forms well, better to be safe than sorry, no? I would rather have a service provider that cares for their users' privacy rather than you being compromised by a service provider that doesn't do additional checking on you

I went to the only branch in JB, and guess what the CS told me? It has been already cancelled and that I do not need to come over. I told her, I called up the hotline and the CS request me that I would need to come to the branch personally to cancel it. Why now telling me it has been cancel? All she did is give me a silly smile Waste petrol, time, and parking

QUOTE(fixgd @ Oct 7 2013, 04:03 PM) just saying, but if you like to contact people who are using umobile as well, there's a catch. For prepaid, if you've reloaded rm50 in order to apply the UMI38 plan, you'll get 50 days of free calls to anyone using umobile. However, if you've reloaded RM 50 and applied for the UMI38 plan and you've called someone who is using umobile as well, the deduction will be made on the UMI38's free call duration first before going for the 50 days of free call from the day of reload.

I'm just telling you bout it so that you won't feel tricked after using it for a while, thinking that calling umobile users will use the free calls from the reload when its actually not. Anyway, if your usual call time is more than 150 min and most of the ppl that you call is not using umobile, then I feel that UMI38 is pretty worth it This post has been edited by wcypierre: Oct 7 2013, 10:18 PM

Hello guys! I've just MNP from Maxis Hotlink to Umobile prepaid at BTS! Only took half a day before sms confirmation on complete port. But... May i ask...
1. Where should i cut my sim card into microSIM around sri petaling area?
2. Should i be concern of the printed wordings of 2g/3g on my simcard? It gives me an initial thoughts of i can max receive 3g speed and not more than that (eg. No H+ connectivity). Enlighten me please! =)
Thank you.

You may have to ask around though, and there are charges for it. 2. I believe that the main point would be on whether your phone has 3g support or not (which most of the phone nowadays do as hsdpa has already been here for quite a while, while the trend would be on LTE 4g nowadays)

Just went to MV and cut it. Previously UMobile which was inside RadioShack does provide the cutting service for FREE but the booth was not found starting from last month, info from the promoters. Rm8 was charged for cutting service though. 2. Of course, but such printing on simcard itself would brought up an initial thought from non-avid telecommunication customers i would say. Somehow its kind of ironic on why the 2g/3g was printed at the first place, especially as what u'd said the trend is now on 4g LTE. Just a thought though.

U Mobile doesn't provide 4G LTE yet though, so probably that's the reason?

Hi! Sorry I'm still confuse...
I just bought a starter pack and top up RM20.00
I want to subscribe to UMI 18
Does it mean 1. I need 18 (activation) + 18 (subscription) credit for first time? Total rm36 credit ?
2. Subsequent month as long as I have credit of 18, it will auto deduct / subscribe
Thanks!
