No... Umobile will use maxis sites and network for 2G
Umobile will use maxis sites for 3G except some location where umobile will use their own sites. Umobile will use their own network for 3G, at any location within malaysia
The difference between sites and network is.... We can trace umobile number in maxis network when they are in 2G mode but not for 3G..

QUOTE(incredibless @ Aug 21 2013, 01:09 PM) tried umobile prepaid. so far i can say the coverage is good in klang valley. what suprise me is umobile 3g signal at basement car parks like sunway pyramid, midvalley , 1utama/avenue able to get full bar/line vs maxis mostly on edge. at high rise building my maxis will be on edge but umobile still maintain Hsdpa. however the ping for umobile is very high (100-300) but speed can get 2-3.5mbps. I would say its quite suprising to see umobile covered most parts and they are just in the market few years only. My bro work at sentral also saying that umobile has good signal and speed at 30+ floor

QUOTE(wcypierre @ Sep 27 2013, 03:23 PM) "It is in addition to that"(postpaid users = price of prepaid users + 6% service tax), I think that probably that you've misunderstood my wording in a way or two Dude, you are right. Coz the prepaid charging is included 6% but not postpaid. Every postpaid plan has 6% charge extra for call and sms exclude pure data plan. So, prepaid charge should be more expensive than postpaid charge as it includes tax This post has been edited by prosibu: Sep 27 2013, 06:30 PM

QUOTE(orangutan @ Oct 12 2013, 06:21 PM) Hi! Sorry I'm still confuse... I just bought a starter pack and top up RM20.00 I want to subscribe to UMI 18 Does it mean 1. I need 18 (activation) + 18 (subscription) credit for first time? Total rm36 credit ? 2. Subsequent month as long as I have credit of 18, it will auto deduct / subscribe Thanks! Where you get the activation fee? Just subscribe UMI18 and you are done

QUOTE(wcypierre @ Feb 7 2014, 10:52 PM) yeap. but U Mobile's 2g network is with celcom as well. so it doesn't makes any difference I think that he's not using the UMI28 plan(probably as a 2nd number), as if otherwise, I believe that U Mobile would be more cost effective than Tunetalk. Umobile 2g using maxis ..... not celcom Some area using maxis 3g infra for umobile 3g...

QUOTE(1234kingbling @ Nov 27 2014, 10:50 AM) Why doesnt U Mobile have 4g coverage other than subang.? UM hasn't send PO to vendors.... QUOTE(NightFelix @ Nov 27 2014, 11:20 AM) Why Malaysia telco don't have at least 50GB Data Quota. 1GB or 2GB Data quota are easily drain by LTE I think it might work if the data only can be used in LTE coverage.... something like 2G/3G: 5GB 4G:500GB for RM199 depends on how intelligent the charging system and the telco marketing thinking
