if that is the case, I'll just MNP to Maxis or some other provider for a month or so and MNP back to Umobile prepaid. biggrin.gif

wait, is it possible to MNP to prepaid?

well, you can always try to request for the change from postpaid to prepaid first, if the management doesn't allow you then only go for MNP.

and yes, it is possible, just that it takes a longer route and time as well for it.

and lastly, if you wanted to do a MNP, You can contact https://forum.lowyat.net/user/digilife for more information on the MNP biggrin.gif

I think I'll just go straight for MNP. This is my secondary number with very minor usage only. I mean like no harm trying Digi right? tongue.gif but I'm not sure whether umobile will accept if I MNP back to their services after 1 month hahaa.

Problem is this number is not reg under my name, so I'm trying to avoid any awkward convos at the service centre itself. I have a digital copy of the IC that is registered to this number, so it is not some fraud or whatsoever.

Don't worry, we get these questions from time to time. Based on http://www.u.com.my/coverage, Taman Melawati does have 3g connectivity but its at the borderline so I think that the 3g connectivity may not be as good(probably less strong signal with ~1mbps speed) but nonetheless, it should be better than your current provider though

Hai...

Sorry to ask again...
Quite confuse when referring to this plan.. Note 2.. http://www.u.com.my/phone-deals/samsung-galaxy-note-2
Let say I plan to take U58.. how much do I need to pay actually..?
Cause got upfront payment, payment upon register and monthly payment..
Cause when I calculate back to RM147 x 12 month, its equal back to Payment upon register..

Thanks

The first payment that you're going to make is RM 1758.

Let's take the Note 2 - U58 plan that you wanted to take as an example.
In the U Mobile's comparison, it compares between:
retail price of the phone + U58 vs discounted price for the phone + U58 for a period of one year.

Retail Price + U58 = 1999 + (12 * 58) = RM 2695
Discounted Price + U58 = 1468 + 290(290 / 58 = 5 months of U58 upfront payment) + 406(remaining months that are to be paid = 7 * 58) = RM 2164

Savings: RM 2695 - 2164 = RM 531(which tallies to the amount that is on the site as well)

but seriously, these plans are only good if you're to buy a phone when it has just been released to the market......... sweat.gif

yeah, and from a quick search in lelong, ori set note 2 is 1499.

so total =1499+(12*58)=2195

slightly more expensive than the package, but you are not tied down to the contract, you can switch and terminate within the 12 months.(IINM la, have to recheck since I am using prepaid, so i am not sure whether there is a contract if you take a postpaid plan without any subsidized phone)

i wouldn't recommend to mnp to maxis because u'll be stuck with them for 3 months before they let u mnp out

Hi,

I just found out that my postpaid (U28) bill is still outstanding eventhough i made the payment 2 weeks ago in August.

The payment was made in umobile website using my credit card. My credit card statement already shown the transaction made but umobile website is still showing as outstanding.

already complained to umobile but so far no news.

Can you guys advise on this?

How many contacts can be stored on the SIM?

Mine seems to choke after 155.

I haven't tried it on my U Mobile sim since it is inserted on a smartphone from the start, but my old DiGi sim had no problems storing ~200 contacts
