As the world's biggest and richest club, Manchester United reach a global fanbase.

Part of the attraction for fans around the world has been the football luminaries, such as George Best and Sir Bobby Charlton, who have graced the Old Trafford turf in a Manchester United shirt over the years.

Recently, Manchester United have continued to attract or develop some of the game's biggest names, with England stalwarts such as Paul Scholes and David Beckham having been regular fixtures in the Reds line-up.

The Manchester United team, past and present, reads like a who's who of world football.

It is only fitting that a great team should grace a great stadium. And with Old Trafford's recent development and the closure of Wembley, the ground is easily the largest in English football, holding in excess of 60,000 fans.

Despite this capacity, the demand to see United in action is so great that tickets are hard to come by.

But it isn't only Manchester United fans who flock to Old Trafford. The standard of the ground is such that it regularly hosts high-profile games, most notably, the Champions League Final and Great Britain rugby league games.

Rock fans have also made use of the Reds's facilities, watching a number of high-profile acts at the ground.

But it's football that will forever be synonymous with the Reds famous ground - and with good reason.

The last decade has seen Manchester United under the shrewd leadership of Sir Alex Ferguson maintain a virtual stranglehold on the Premiership crown.

Manchester United has won the league no fewer than 18 times in their history. They are also Cup Kings too, winning the FA cup 11 times, the league cup 4 times, as well as winning the European Super Cup, European Cup Winner's Cup, and 3 times being crowned European Cup champions.

Manchester United has long become a name associated with success both on and off the pitch.

As club profits continue to grow, Manchester United have become one of the richest sports clubs on the planet.

With supporters club branches on every continent, it's hard to go any where in the world and not see somebody wearing the famous red shirt of Manchester United.

QUOTE(zenix @ Nov 24 2009, 09:18 PM)
Hope Alien will sticky this info later.
Though written in 2006 so no Roy Keane yet.

Ex-United players that have moved on to become managers.

Written by Simon Stone (MARCH 22, 2006)

STEVE BRUCE (1987-1996): Took his first steps in management with Sheffield United in 1998, then swiftly moved on to Huddersfield, Wigan and Crystal Palace. Left Selhurst Park in acrimonious fashion after Birmingham targeted him as the replacement for Trevor Francis in 1991. Took Blues into the Premier League but after a heavy FA Cup defeat is struggling to keep his job.

MARTIN POWELL (1971-1983): Stylish and well-respected Scotland centre-half whose authoritative nature appeared to make him a natural for the management game. Lasted four months at Burnley.

SIR BOBBY CHARLTON (1956-1973): Arguably the finest English player of all time proved to be an unmitigated disaster as a manager. Claimed he was not given the resources to make a decent job of it at Preston but was never lured back into management following his departure after a single season.

STEVE COPPELL (1975-1983): After a knee injury cut his playing career short at just 28, Coppell turned his attention to management. Steered Crystal Palace into the FA Cup final and then third place in the old First Division - the Eagles' highest ever - the following season. It was the first of four stints in charge at Selhurst Park in a career which has seen him move to Manchester City (for only six games), Brentford and Brighton. Now at Reading and about to steer the Royals into the top flight for the first time.

PADDY CRERAND (1962-1971): A key figure in United's 1968 European Cup triumph, Crerand lasted five months at Northampton before getting the bullet and, like Charlton, never managed again.

MARK HUGHES (1983-86, 1988-95): Hughes was never tipped as a manager by Ferguson but has taken to the game with ease. Took Wales into the Euro 2004 play-offs. Took over at Blackburn shortly afterwards, steering Rovers away from danger in his first season. Currently in contention for a Champions League spot.

BRIAN KIDD (1967-1974): Another European Cup winner who proved to be a poor manager. Got itchy feet in 1998 after spending seven years as Sir Alex Ferguson's highly-rated assistant. Took command at Blackburn but dismissed six months later.

BRYAN ROBSON (1981-94): United's inspirational leader under Ron Atkinson and Ferguson. There are two schools of thought on his stint at Middlesbrough - he either spent lots and achieved little (relegation and two losing finals) or he laid the platform for the Teessiders to become an established Premiership outfit. Kept West Brom up in extraordinary fashion last year but back in trouble again this season.

GORDON STRACHAN (1984-89): Scotland international who won the FA Cup with United and the title of the pre-Premiership era with Leeds. Sacked after five years at when the Sky Blues lost top-flight status, then enjoyed success at Southampton - reaching the 2003 Cup final - before resigning to spend more time with his family. Now at Celtic, has recovered from a humiliating Champions League exit to Artmedia Bratislava, and, after winning his first trophy on Sunday in the CIS Insurance Cup, is set to clinch the Scottish Premier League.

NOBBY STILES (1960-71): Along with Charlton, one of only two Englishmen to have won the World Cup and European Cup, he replaced his former England and United team-mate at Preston, with limited success. After a brief stint in Vancouver, returned to England to take over as manager of West Brom. Sacked after five months, having gained just three wins.

Manchester United manager David Moyes has again insisted Wayne Rooney is not for sale after Chelsea said the England striker is their sole transfer target.

Speaking at a news conference in Sydney, the United boss said: "The club's position has not changed."

Barcelona say Manchester United target Cesc Fabregas is not for sale!

QUOTE
Barcelona vice president Josep Maria Bartomeu has warned Manchester United that Cesc Fabregas is not for sale.

United have tabled a bid for the former Arsenal midfielder as David Moyes looks to lure him back to the Premier League.

The Red Devils have made Fabregas one of their top targets this summer as they aim to add some creativity to their midfield.

Moyes revealed earlier on Friday that he was waiting to hear soon on the club's bid for Fabregas as he tries to make his first big-name signing at Old Trafford.

However, Bartomeu has moved to quell any talk of an imminent transfer for Fabregas by insisting they will not entertain any offers for the Spain international.
"Barcelona can assure you we will not entertain any offers for Cesc," Bartomeu was quoted by Spanish daily Sport. "It is totally ruled out, he's not for sale."

Ignore what Barca are saying about him not being
for sale. That is exactly what I would expect to hear. Woodward wouldn't have
left the tour early if a deal for the player wasn't on,
and Moyes himseld said he was dealing with it. If the player wasn't for sale, there would be nothing
to deal with. Patience gentlemen, patience.

Many fans are against Antonio Valencia last season. I agree his form is not quite consistent. I think its due to his serious leg injury. After that injury he seemed like a different player. If not... the right wing position belongs to him any day. Remember how he destroy Milan few years back? Really missed the real him

i hope Fabregas issue a clear statement "im not interested to go to Man Utd", end the speculation once and for all. i dont want to see another Alcantara heart ache and badly effect DM new season preparation. lets him move on now and secure another CM target.

but Vilanova resignation definitely drag this 'saga' longer. Fabregas may want to wait who's the new manager and his plan.

I don't know if this is the right place to ask, but as this is MU place, I'll just give it a try.

Do any of you fellow MU fans know where and how to buy MU tickets online, a reliable sites?
I'm planning to go watch the MU vs Arsenal on 10th November 2013, but as this is my first time doing so, hopefully I can get a good advice and guidance from all you.

hi there, we welcome all Man Utd fans.

I'm not sure about other sites, but I bought tickets from the official manchester united website. but that's only for carling cup game, of which they opened for the public to buy.

I assume you are buying the premier league game against Arsenal in November. First of all, in order for you to buy league game tickets, you will need to be the member first. if you have just joined, prolly you might only get to buy games vs the other relatively smaller teams.

you must collect enough of loyalty points before you are eligible to buy big match tickets like vs arsenal, chelsea, liverpool and etc....

so I reckon you wouldn't be able to buy the tickets vs Arsenal. Unless someone buy the tickets for you locally, your friends or relatives who live there, if they are loyal members.

I'm not so sure about the other teams though. But if you really wanna catch that game at old trafford. Maybe you might want try buying tickets for Arsenal fans at the away stand? (but make sure you don't celebrate when United score, your safety can't be guaranteed) you may check this out with Arsenal fans. But I think they practice the same membership systems.... if I'm not wrong.

Good luck to you.

Good performances by United. Great goals by Lingaard too. I still think United need an experienced midfielder (s) and play the youngsters occasionally.

As good as the win was, lets not forget that the A-League All Star team players are currently in their off season too. Fitness wise, they are not at their best like Singha's team in Thailand.

But United really played good today. Slick, quick passes and tireless runs all throughout the match. Its just shows you how effective their one week intensive training in Sydney has done for them.

Next stop: Yokohama.

It does seem incredibly unlikely to happen, almost
so that you have to wonder why we are bidding,
there must have been some indication that he's
for sale/willing to join us. We have been chasing
him all summer and are now throwing bids at
Barcelona. They have said he's not for sale yet we still made a bid, Cesc apparently told Barcelona he
wants to stay at the club but again we are still
making bids, something doesn't add up. Either
Barcelona are full of shit or we are that retarded to
waste time on this transfer, not quite sure which
one at the moment.

I guessed Moyes have to prove himself by leading Man Utd for the 21st title and have good result in Euro in order to attract/convince world class players to join him

if he doesn't signed anyone and win 21st league title, ppl will rant a lot saying he win with Sir Alex's team...bla bla bla..

United bringing the words 'Football Club' back to their badge in attempt to banish Glazer worry

QUOTE
Manchester United want to restore the words ‘Football Club’ to their club badge after 15 years, in the hope of dispelling the image that the Glazers are only interested in United as a business rather than their history as one of England’s great sporting institutions.
Owner Joel Glazer is behind plans to change the badge again after the football reference was removed in a re-design in 1998. New chief executive Ed Woodward has confirmed United have reservations about the current badge which was launched seven years before the Glazers bought the club.
‘I didn’t like that change of badge,’ said Woodward. ‘Joel didn’t like that change. We will look at that and have a think about that. We are a football club, not a business.'

user posted image

But problem is, if they re-use the old badge without the 'devil'.. it's kinda contradicts with our nickname, 'The Red Devils' no? I mean, since we have Fred as our mascot, I believe the 'Devil' needs to be there? I don't mind if they reuse the 'Football Club' layout but don't take away the devil sad.gif

Jones: I'll play anywhere

QUOTE
Phil Jones is yet to speak to David Moyes about his long-term position, but he insists he is happy to play anywhere.

The England international enjoyed run-outs in central defence, at full-back and in midfield last season and excelled in every position.

Jones says all the players are relishing life under the new manager and he maintains he will play wherever he is required.

“We haven’t spoken about it yet, but I’m sure as the tour progresses then it will arise,” he told ManUtd.com.

“It’s like I said last season when I was playing right-back, centre-back and centre midfield, I just enjoy playing football and if that means playing in different positions then that’s fine, I just want to play. Hopefully I can play plenty of games.”

Many former players and pundits have tipped Jones as a future United captain and potentially one of the club's best ever players, but the man himself is not getting carried away by the compliments. While flattered by the praise, he insists he remains focused on continuing to work hard.

“Obviously it’s great to hear comments like that, but you’ve still got to prove yourself and go out and do the business on matchday. That’s my aim this season," he declared.

QUOTE
Ryan Giggs has been made Wilfried Zaha’s personal mentor.

Zaha has been told to get changed next to 39-year-old Giggs every day – and to watch and learn from the Manchester United legend.

Zaha is set to be given until January to prove to new boss David Moyes that he does not need to be sent out on loan for more experience.

Moyes has been impressed with £15million signing Zaha in training and recognises the England Under-21 winger has special talents.

Now, he wants the 20-year-old to learn how to make the best of himself from United’s most celebrated star – Giggs.

Welshman Giggs has been made a player-coach - a role he is relishing - by Moyes, after having won more honours than any other player in United’s history.

Zaha has been told to change next to Giggs for training every day, so that he can pick up useful tips and ask for advice.

Everybody inside Old Trafford respects Giggs for the career he has enjoyed and his hunger for success.

Despite displaying plenty of promise in training, Zaha has also already proved he still has a lot to learn.

Zaha turned up to depart for United’s pre-season tour wearing jeans and a T-shirt, and had to change into a club suit inside the airport.

West Ham and Fulham have already enquired about taking Zaha on loan next season, while Crystal Palace would love to have him back at Selhurst Park.

But Zaha has insisted he wants to stay at United and fight for his place and Moyes is planning to give him until January to prove he can make a first-team impact.

If Zaha spends too much time on the substitutes’ bench, however, then Moyes will look again at whether he will allow the player to go out on loan during the January transfer window.

Chelsea's away kit looks amazing. The touch of red-white-blue lines concluded the verdict that Adidas makes better looking kits than Nike. No offence but even AC Milan kit looks amazing.

Since our contract with Nike is expiring soon, can Adidas become our shirt sponsor next? tongue.gif

wait till the official news released.

I think is impossible given that Barca has not appointed new manager.

just wait till the new manager appointed then only see how's the story goes.

btw, when is the transfer window closed? End of July or end of Aug?

I think MU should stop pursuing Fabregas as it looks like a dead end. Even if Barca is willing to sell, i don't think Fabregas' heart is in MU considering the history he has with MU when he was with Arsenal.
The same goes for Thiago. I don't think we "lost' him as he was never keen to join MU at the very beginning and all along he was waiting for Pep Guardiola to make a bid for him.
No point getting players if their heart is not set on joing the club.

agreed on Thiago's part. for Cesc's case there is still hope if Barca willin to sell. Look at RVP, he is d best example Cesc can follow. brows.gif

FFS - If he's writing letters that explains the whole saga. We've made a bid, not heard anything back and have got encouraged, meanwhile Rosell has got to wait to Monday till the post office is open again before he responds to us. What a stupid way of dealing with transfer bids.

Another saga end. Lets buy Fellaini, easy.

DM just try his luck with Fabregas. Barca might be tempted if the offer gone overboard (45++ mil -ish). i hope we will not reach that point.

i believe the deal for Fellaini are in place. his minimum release fee are very high for a player of his calibre, but it will speed up the things if DM really want the player. he just waiting for the deal for Fabregas to die.

really hope this will not drag too long..

Watched Zaha play vs. A-League All Stars. Have to say that I'm not impressed. He's good at tricks but needs to learn to be more efficient with the ball. His crossing is sub-par and team awareness is lacking. It'll be his first time playing with players who are loads better than him so hopefully he'll learn to trust his teammates more and how to play within the tactics.

Kagawa admits to feeling 'lost' in first Manchester United season

Jul 22, 2013 12:04:00 AM

The Japan international says he was pleased to be part of both a league-winning side and also Sir Alex Ferguson's last season but reveals he intends a return to Dortmund
Shinji Kagawa has admitted to feeling lost during his first season at Manchester United despite winning the league in Sir Alex Ferguson's last year in charge.

Kagawa featured 26 times for the Reds in his debut season, scoring a total of six goals, but despite a promising start to his United career, Kagawa admits he is not happy with his performances.

The Japan international told ‘Foot x Brain’ on TV Tokyo: "“I'm happy we won the league but I'm not satisfied with my performance.

"The club has a long history and it was great that I could play in Sir Alex Ferguson's last season.

"At first there were also moments when I felt a bit lost but I tried not to give too much importance on such a feeling."

The 24-year-old has revealed his determination to improve ahead of the upcoming season and also next year's World Cup in Brazil.

"All I can do is keep showing what I can," Kagawa continued. "I have no excuse any more after a year in the Premier League.

"I know I'm at a place where you can't play if you don't achieve results. I'm determined to do it, also because there will be World Cup.

"It's really an important year for me."

The former Borussia Dortmund player also revealed his desire to win the Champions League after watching his former club in the final, and also suggested a return to the Bundesliga side in the future.

He added: "Watching Dortmund play in the final, I really thought I want to do well in that stage, in the Champions League."

When asked if he would return, Kagawa replied: "Yes, one day I will. If Dortmund are ok with it."

I have a feeling this season, Kagawa will be the stand-out player as AMC with Cleverley challenge for the same position. RvP likely playing lone striker up front. They must retain Rooney. So we have two class striker in the team.

Carrick will continue in CM but Jones could be the key in DMC. But we still need one more CM if we want to challenge the EPL. Good news is Fletcher is coming back but not sure how much tank he has left.

As for the wing, I feel DM will retain Nani and I believe he might even bring the best out from Nani. This could be turning point for Nani. Valencia, Zaha, Young will be competing for the remaining spot.

The CB is still the position we need to buy. I hope they wrap up Garray deal as soon as possible. Both Ferdinand and Vidic are old and injury plague. Smailing still learning and Evans is our only alternative.

Must buy: CB
Good to buy: CM

we definitely need someone or two from d squad to stand out or get established reinforcement(s). with other team keep improving we need to always stay on our toes else we will get schooled. might take us more than 1 season to challenge for UCL, what's important for Moyes is to stable d ship domestically 1st. smile.gif

Meanwhile, Moyes latest conference :

David Moyes confirms second Manchester United bid for Cesc Fabregas
http://www1.skysports.com/football/news/11...r-cesc-fabregas

You have to wonder what changed in the space of 3 weeks in regards to it being "completely disrespectful" to talk about a player under contract at another team to being the first thing he talks about in two press conferences.

David Moyes relishing chance to work with Shinji Kagawa at Manchester United

Manchester United boss David Moyes is relishing the chance to work with Shinji Kagawa ahead of the new Premier League season.

Kagawa joined up with his United team-mates for the first time since May on Monday as United arrived in Japan on the third stop of their tour.

And although Kagawa is not expected to feature in Tuesday night's game against Yokohama F.Marinos, Moyes says he has had positive reports from predecessor Sir Alex Ferguson about the 24-year-old.

"I know a little about him as a player," said Moyes.

"Sir Alex spoke in glowing terms about Shinji and how good a player he is. I've just met him today, so we're getting to know each other. I'm trying to learn Japanese and he's trying to understand my Scottish.

"It was his first season in the Premier League last year. He's a young player so we hope his development continues. I look forward to working with him and hopefully he has a really good season coming up."

Just came back from the Sydney tour and PHEWWW! WHAT A TRIP!!

Went to their hotel on Thursday night right after arriving in Sydney, waited for about 2 hours then Rio, Adnan and Buttner had late supper...when ended, Rio came out to meet us, sign some stuff, took some pictures etc

Friday night was the training session, managed to get Anderson, Adnan and Evra's siggy. Because he was in Running Man and good fren with PJS, i said Annyeong Haseyo to Evra, he smiled and reply back laugh.gif

Initially they were to fly straight to Tokyo after the Saturday match, but they forgot that Australia has a flight curfew meaning no flights in or out airports late at night till early morning, so they had to stay another day.

So on Sunday i pretty much camped outside their hotel from 10am till they left for airport at 8pm, managed to meet Moyes, he was such a nice fellow, very eager to sign stuff for fans! Then later in the day Rio and Lindegaard walked out privately for shopping, managed to get a awesome pic with Rio, profile picture worthy laugh.gif When they leave for airport, only some players wanna sign, like Evra..but already got his so i took a pic with him instead. Then managed to get RVP there. Also Captain Robbo in between.

Also met Paddy Crerand, as he was with the MUTV crew. such a friendly person, he hugged my shoulder so tight when i took picture! then talk with him for a bit, according to him Rooney actually wanted to stay with MU, but his agent doesnt want him to make any comments about that...

amazing trip throughout. Apart from that, managed to see the trophy, join other fans at the Sydney Opera House for photo session and chanting, got interviewed by a local news here (but didnt make the cut for the news), met a few fans from Manchester who were supporters since the 40s and never missed a home game since the 80s etc. It was like a convention, fans from all over gathered and the few of us crazy enough to wait outside hotel for hours have so much to talk about even though we just met. Too bad it has to end cry.gif

Symbolizes the city's trading base where flock of ships sail straight to the port of Manchester.

10th time bid also might get rejected by Barca, they got no reason to sell him

Btw did Cesc say he willing to leave Barca for Man Utd before ? If not why we put so much effort to sign him

*
WTF are u talking about disrespectful? we made a bid FFS, 2 formal bids in fact. and he exactly talking about the bids. not about his admiration towards the player, make the player unsettle etc.

disrespectful, its Madrid made towards Bale /Spurs. all the courting without any bid.

u just dont like him.

By the way, a little outdated but what's happening with Nani? Is he part of the tour or is he injured? I'd love for him to stay because when he's good, he's GOOD. I still remember 2-3 seasons ago when he was just brilliant and GOD-like!

chill la.. only been 2nd bid and barca didnt reject it instanly.. means there is chances. now it is said waiting for new manager before making reply

Cesc never said he doesnt want to leave barca for united. usually these day clubs came to the player agent or agent doing searching for suitors.. the fact tht we came for 2nd bid and moyes no shy in corfirming we are making bids.. i think Cesc camp are open to talk for a move. it might not be cesc himself but his agent are interested

yes, barca have no reason to sell cesc, also cesc has no reason to move away since competition for mf spot is less now that thiago had leave.. only busket, song, xavi, iniesta, and him..xavi looks on a a decline last season.. cesc will slot in nicely for them..

so do i have big hope on cesc coming to old trafford = nope
if cesc do come to old trafford will i be happy = SUPER

personally, i think its better to target other midfielder..

second that, fac is a more established mf compared to thiago and have a bigger role to play in coming season with xavi getting a year older

what DM is doing is to demonstrate his willingness to spend big to get an instant solution to the mf, but deep down i guess he knows there's only remote chance barca will sell him

hope the team is also working on the other mf, i personally think cabaye is a more realistic target

3rd bid for Fabregas? Seriously? Ed means business mang. Never see United bid 3 times for a player before. If we don't get Cesc, can still try for Modric, Eriksen or *cough* Cabaye.

Speaking of Lingard, hopefully he will get his chances this season. Last season he was part of the preseason squad but didn't make it to the first team. Same batch with Tom Cleverley but Tom was promoted earlier.

fellaini? his gameplay is more of men behind striker, or targetman.. for him to be the creator in mif is less possible & maybe less creative.. the only plus i see is strength..

Which part of Aus are u in? You should come, once in a blue moon opportunity, take leave for a day or two.

I think DM was playing Lingard because we really are short with wingers. i think the formation during the OZ game is 4-5-1, with Zaha and Lingard on wings, and Welbeck lone striker up front. Now that Young and Kagawa joined the team we will have more options in those position.

wt neymar coming barca might shakes things a bit.. i still think busquet, xavi and iniesta will be the main starter at mids. xavi might be declining from his best but he still damn good and his combination wit iniesta still better compared to putting cesc wt iniesta or cesc wt xavi. sometimes cesc use as partner to messi.. sometimes cover for messi.. now got neymar its goin to be harder for him. wt thiago gone it might be good him stay but then if he move to united he most likely a guarentee starter. and dont forget he did take some paycut coming to barca from arsenal.. who doesnt like money.

we are not desperate for cesc.. but he is so much worth fighting for. thts why we should try. i think he is fair up to 40mil.we really dont know wht happen behind the scene but the fact tht united came for bigger offer i think there is chances

fellaini probably our next option.. but he got clause and seem no one interested in him now so no worries

never fancy fellaini, he is good for an average team but not for a team like united who needs all rounded play

options seems really limited for us..top of my wishlist would be gundogan but only in my dream

i beg to differ...maybe he is good on average team...but he is effective for me...whats important for me is BPL proven...he done damages to all the team in BPL with his bullying size...let him partner carrick to protect the back 4 or he can rotate with him/injury replacement...as i think our creative attacking option had enuf ammo in kagawa, roon, rvp, the wingers even ando n clev is mobile enuf to run the engine room if injury free...hopefully moyes hav method up his sleeves to keep them injury free...

gundogan is nice prospect...but a gamble...he need to adapt to BPL etc...size wise he will struggle in the air...he is different kind of player to marwan fellaini...tho he is good at reading game n more to carrick style of defending...intercept passes dictate tempo...i prefer afroman...ahaha...

cesc oh cesc...to me...barca is buying time...tito step down...cesc is hanging...we r not gonna bid multi times if there is no concrete interest...from both party...barca need to sell...they invest heavily since ibra,alexis,affelay,neymar...lots of money spend there...maybe cesc is in torn...or he dun mind where he end up...as he sure luv to play in england...he is legend for me at arsenal...but he luv barca but in pecking order while he shud start regularly or used to play regularly in arsenal color...if barca do accept our offer...he surely come...as he not ask for it...he dun mind...its up to barca to decide for him...juz my curious case of cesc...

#juzmy2inch#berdiritegangbehind moyes

btw...if cesc arrive...ando-son-son-son songs need to change...he cant sheet on fabregas anymore...ahahaha...maybe both of them gonna sheet on everyone play against them...lol...opsss

Too bad it has to end  cry.gif

well...everyone...is..entitled..to..their...own...opinion.. icon_rolleyes.gif

i seen him playing few times last season..he played particularly well against the top teams including us as we usually press further and leave space for him to exploit on. it seems to me he lacks the techniques and creativity to really cement a place in the midfield for a top team

however, DM definitely knows him better than me and if he does bring him in then i shall reserve my judgement on him till he really play for us

lol thanks. Many people liked that photo, not because they are MU fans but because they watch Running Man laugh.gif

Pretty sure he is out injured, he is not with the team. From twitter i think he is training fitness by himself.

Miss the time when I was in perth with massive crowd watching football at a place. In residential college, we have huge pack of MU fans and bunch of SG liverpool fans watching MU v Liv and screaming like mad hooligans. Good time. tongue.gif

Can anyone show me where Moyes or anyone has specifically mentioned the name Fabregas and transfer to man utd?

I've been looking around and so far can't find anything that directly quotes Moyes mentioning Fabregas.

Oh and Fabregas is quoted to have said he will never leave unless Barca want him to leave. Not surprising. This is his hometown, dream club.

i know a lot of u are skeptical bout this deal
but i doubt we will be putting in bids after bids if we did not get some sort of hint or encouragement from either barca or cesc himself.
everyone is for sell for a right amount of $$
and if barca accept our bid, i have no doubt that fab will move here

yups...no hard feelin brah...just sharing my view n football knowledge from my grass root academy education...lol...it doesnt mean anything actually...football is full of surprise...u can n know what to expect...but never fully exactly spot on...unless SAF...ahahaha...he breath it...lol...we look from outside...those who work inside the club always knows better...that why i always like to refer to player comment...they feel it hands on...

my analysis on marouane fellaini is...yes...i agree on those creativity lacks in fellaini...but for me not every player required to hav the creativity attribute...its a bonus to hav those quality...maybe fellaini is a simple direct player...no nonsense play...no stepover...plain direct player sumtimes needed in a team...cos he do the job...get the ball...give it to creative player to play...but his presence in the box during set piece or in the middle for winning high ball challenge from goal kick is 2nd to none for me...for me his techniques is excellent...maybe it doesnt stand out clouded by his afro n lanky built...but he can bring the ball down drogba-esque with his chest...that is some technique to me...his ball control technique if i use the right terms...not as sweet as berba...but still he make the ball his when he brought down the ball...maybe u r referring to his shooting technique that doesnt anywhere to be seen...sorry me...lol...his presence in box sure give headache to all GK...ask DDG bout it...if u asses everton style of play under DM...they dont hav luxury in creative player like we or other team hav...they play simple 1-2 touches n release quick forward thru channel passing...winger n fullback provide width run into space...draw opponent fullback to crumble the defence shape line...leaving the CB without cover...

steve bulat is in awe with the lads...hope they can build a teamwork tremendously to make our MAN UTD progress...

I don't care what is being said publicly, we must have had some sort of encouragement either from Fabregas' people or from Barcelona, there's a deal to be done here - there must be.

I don't buy all the, "just to appease fans" stuff, three bids turned down and no deal to be reached for Cesc is public humiliation for a club this size, we wouldn't be doing it if it weren't possible.

abit selfish from Zaha..should have passed to RVP ...

He made a decision to pass the defender and then he tried to cross to RvP. Sadly the gap to cross to RvP was already closed by then. Fortunately, Lindgard got the rebound.

1) This is a friendly. We don't know what the coach is trying to achieve with this game. It could be fitness, or testing tactics, etc.
2) From the looks of the passing, the team is not set up for possession football. They are very aggressive in pushing forward hence the lower possession.

is that Fabio or Rafael? good cross

Fabio is playing at right back, I think.

Ashley Young and Danny Welbeck are taking the field now, replacing van Persie and Lingard for United. Still no sign of the main attraction Shinji Kagawa.

As for Fabio, on second thoughts, it could be the Yokohama player who's called Fabio. Not our Fabio playing. lol. Cannot tell.

It's very obvious the trend in the second half.

The Japanese are half way through the season and very fit. Also, they switched so many players in the second half so they're fresh. They were biting at the United players all 2nd half. Sliding everywhere, sprinting and closing down all the space.

United on the other hand, just started pre season and had very little substitutions. Moyes apparently wants the players to build up fitness so he wants as many players to get 90 mins as possible. They were tired and it was so obvious. All the miss kicks. The sluggishness. I guess they paid the price for that.

In the end, their tiredness decided the game.

Haih...
My humble opinion....

Zaha - Good winger, quick feet and speed. still need to brush up his vision and crossing. Good Potential

Januzaj - too raw. Not a first teamer yet.

Lingard - Very hungry, Hardworking. Should be given more oppurtunity to shine. Need more experience. But overall good player

Cleverly - I am not sure, but i think he should be given more chances to prove himself

Welbeck - Need to brush up his finishing.

Anderson - Average first half. Mediocre, sluggish, non-existant at 2nd half. This guys has been given too many chances. Didnt make any run at 2nd half. He put all the burden to cleverly to defend midfield. Fat and lazy........MUST SELL!!!!!!!

Young - JusT back from injury. Good workout. Jury is still our there

Well I guess if Fab's deal is off, I think Cabaye is a good alternative. He may not be that young anymore but he could fill in the gap between the experienced

(Carrick/Giggs) and the still learning/potential players like Lingaard, Janujaz, Clevs and Ando. Plus, I think he is a good all-round players, the type of player

United need. Just a matter of whether he is available at the right price, or not.

Boss provides injury update

David Moyes has provided an injury update from Japan following the 3-2 defeat to Yokohama F·Marinos in the latest match of the 2013 Tour presented by Aon.

Robin van Persie was substituted as a precaution after being chosen to lead the line while Danny Welbeck also pulled up sharply after challenging for one through ball but soldiered on. Meanwhile, Rio Ferdinand and Michael Carrick were left on the sidelines for the entertaining clash.

"We've got a couple of wee worries," explained Moyes to MUTV. "Robin just felt his thigh in the first half and we didn't want to take any chances.

"Danny Welbeck felt his groin when he came on and we've just got to make sure they're all okay especially with so many games coming up. We've still got a few games to play before the season starts when we get back home."

Chris Smalling and Ashley Young enjoyed run-outs as they step up their bid for full fitness while Wayne Rooney remains on course to feature later in the pre-season campaign.

"With Rio, we just decided to give him a rest. I wanted to get Jonny Evans and Chris Smalling a game so we rested Rio. Michael just felt his groin. It's a bit tight from last night. It's not anything we can see keeping him out. He just missed training and the game tonight.

"As far as we know Wayne [Rooney] is coming on, He's started light jogging and the feedback I'm getting from the physios is that he's progressing. Hopefully those dates are still on track."

Weird the way Moyes and Ed Woodward handling transfer. Not use to us pressing player for a deal. Just like Barca & Real been doing. Come out to media and openly admit it. SAF don't do this. I know its not fair to compare them, just be more United, moyes.

Strootman, Thiago, Garay, Baines. Maybe its just a speculations, but act fast. Come out to media and just let everyone know we don't after them. If we did, do it silently.

Do you remember, when SAF said there will be no more signing, everyone rubbing their hand and expect someone. Like last year, bam! We signed RVP!

I don't remember Moyes while at Everton openly admitted wanted somebody.

Yeah... as much confident I put in DM, I am starting to doubt their capability in handling transfer. Are they not familiar with buying player for big club? For me, I am certain Cesc, Bale, Ronaldo are a waste of time. I don't expect them to sign big name, but at least get some raw gems. And what happen to Garray deal?

Let me troll here. We have the money guys. We are actually in good hands when FFP starts. All thanks to David Gill and the commercial teams. Great job in increasing our revenue.

Well, since the Rooney drama is going on so "well", sell him off or trade him with some player. =/

tongue.gif pretty sure zenix was being sarcastic. icon_idea.gif

I've given up haha. dont care where he goes. I care more about WHO ARE WE GETTING. Geez Moyes, do something.

Striker wise, we have mr RVP, hernandez, and welfrontback. I'm happy with the first 2, hernandez can't play alone though. Welback finishing is horrible. Roo going is gonna be sad, but I'm sure currently we'll be ok SO LONG, we get some good midfielders. Last night was the proof. + Our back is horrible too.

City will be more dangerous this season, they already get rid of their bad boy, Balotelli, Tevez and more importanly Mancini

Moyes also should do the same, if Rooney really want to go just let him, Nani also should go if he still sulking like before yawn.gif

Unfortunately, he keeps on thinking that he is bigger than the club (though I might admit that some fault was on the club as well), no one will ever be bigger than the club. I repeat, NO ONE.

Adnan Januzaj not keen on loan move from Manchester United

user posted image

Manchester United youngster Adnan Januzaj insists he would rather remain at Old Trafford and fight for a starting place than move elsewhere on loan.

The 18-year-old Belgian winger has yet to make a first-team appearance for United but was named on the bench for the 5-5 draw at West Brom in Sir Alex Ferguson's final game last season.

Januzaj was taken on the club's pre-season tour to the Far East and Australia by boss David Moyes and has made a positive impression so far.

Cesc Fabregas considering Barcelona future after Manchester United bid say Sky sources

user posted image

Barcelona midfielder Cesc Fabregas is considering his future with the Spanish club after Manchester United made a second bid for him, according to Sky sources.

The Catalan giants have said publicly that they do not want to sell the former Arsenal star.

However a source close to Fabregas has told Sky Sports News that the player is considering his position having been given no assurances that he will be a regular starter next season.

Barcelona may consider a £35million offer, according to the source, but will ultimately leave the decision up to the player and will not force him out.

A final decision on Fabregas' future could now be accelerated, though, after Barcelona appointed Argentinian Gerardo Martino as their new coach in place of Tito Vilanova.

Thiago Alcantara almost signed for Manchester United, reveals dad Mazinho

Thiago Alcantara almost signed for Manchester United before he joined Bayern Munich, his father Mazinho has revealed.

United were strongly linked with a deal for Thiago earlier this summer, with reports in Spain suggesting a £17million transfer fee had been agreed with Barcelona.

The Spain international ended up signing for Bayern Munich though, and United manager David Moyes denied he was ever interested in buying Thiago.

But according to the player’s father Mazinho, United actually came very close to pulling off his signature.

Manchester United eye Ilkay Gundogan after missing out on Cesc Fabregas transfer

Manchester United are ready to turn to Borussia Dortmund midfielder Ilkay Gundogan after missing out on Cesc Fabregas.

United boss David Moyes had made Fabregas his top target this summer, but after seeing three successive bids turned down, he is ready to look elsewhere.

Everton powerhouse Maraoune Fellaini remains an option, but it’s now thought that Germany international Gundogan could move to Old Trafford instead.

The 22-year-old had two years left on his Dortmund contract, and despite talk over an extension in recent weeks, United are increasingly confident they could land him for around £20million.

Gundogan has been given a glowing reference by his former team-mate Shinji Kagawa, who is now a key part of Moyes’ plans at United.

It’s thought that the pair could be reunited before the end of the window, even if Dortmund decide to dig their heels in and try and force him to stay.

Gundogan represents everything that Moyes has been looking for, with an excellent passing range and ability to control a midfield battle.

The player has previously admitted his interest in the Premier League, where he has been linked with Arsenal and Chelsea.

Barcelona were also keen on him earlier this month, but their interest has since cooled.

Our transfer news have been from exciting (i did at certain extent thought Thiago would play next season with us) to ridiculous. I'm just not sure who actually Moyes wants to buy. Fabregas to United just seems to hard to stomach. Huhu. Bale and Ronaldo? Expensive. Gundogan? After Kagawa, I dont think BVB want to lose their star player (not to mention Gotze and Lewandowski saga). Media exaggerated a lot.

Most possible transfer I could see is Fellaini and Baines. Bolehlah dr tak ada ape..

Moyes: Fabregas bid 'ongoing'
http://www1.skysports.com/football/teams/manchesterunited

I think we shouldn't go far ahead of ourselves; the 2nd bid of £30m hasn't been officially rejected yet but already we've got United confirmed as making a 3rd bid and Barca officially rejecting the 3rd bid and saying Cesc is not for sale

All that has been confirmed is United made a 2nd bid of £30m + add-ons and Fabregas is "considering his future" - Barca have publically said they "do not want to sell him" but this isn't exactly the same as saying "Fabregas is not for sale at any price" and some how out of this combined info ppl state 2nd bid rejected, 3rd bid of £35m made and 3rd bid rejected so we've moved on, now Gundogan has been contacted

the priority of big-name signing depends on Roo's current situation

if he's staying, than having a big-name signing is a luxury that we can afford (and can afford to pass).

however if Roo's leaving, it'll have a double edged effect.on one hand we have just lost our best player for nearly a decade (player like roo really hard to come by. hell we might have better chance on finding RvP's like-for-like replacement than roo). on the other hand, we'll get a hefty pile of money for his possible sale, and we can sign another big name player, even getting our old boy back from Santiago bernabeu or getting some certain young cymru wizard to OT

Robin van Persie's pre-season injury niggle is down to 'dinosaur coaching' methods, says Dutch fitness expert

David Moyes’s pre-season handling of Robin van Persie has been called into question by a Dutch fitness specialist who has worked with several leading clubs and was assistant to the late Wales manager Gary Speed.

Van Persie was withdrawn at half-time during United’s friendly in Japan on Tuesday because he had experienced tightness in a thigh.

Moyes said the substitution was precautionary and that he expected the striker to be fine, but the new Manchester United manager was still subjected to stinging criticism from Raymond Verheijen, who has worked with Barcelona, Chelsea and Manchester City among others and has a reputation for being outspoken.

Writing on his Twitter account, Verheijin noted that Moyes had previously said United had ‘overtrained’ Van Persie at the start of pre-season.

He wrote: “In Sydney Moyes said: ‘We’ve overtrained Robin this week to build up his fitness’. [In Japan] he picked up muscle injury. It really makes you wonder how these prehistoric training methods can still take place at the highest level.

"The only way to solve this problem in Jurassic Park is to improve education of these dinosaur coaches, fitness clowns & scientific cowboys.

"All over the world in pre-season you see the pattern ‘overtraining-fatigue-injuries’. Always avoid accumulation of fatigue in pre-season.

"But as long as most dinosaurs are still in denial & ignore how things develop in other countries, nothing will ever change in Jurassic Park. Obviously, players like RVP should learn to protect themselves better against ‘overtraining’ & ‘punishing training’.”

Manchester United boss David Moyes to learn from Ryan Giggs in Champions League

David Moyes has admitted he will have to learn about the UEFA Champions League quickly and says he will ask Ryan Giggs for advice as he bids to plot a course to European glory for Manchester United.

Moyes made the move to Old Trafford this summer after a decade in charge at Everton, but while he is vastly experienced in the Premier League he has never before managed on the Champions League stage.

He is relishing the prospect of continental competition but recognises that it will be a steep learning curve and he plans to make the most of player-coach Giggs' knowledge.

"For me it will be a thrill," said Moyes. "I'm going to have to learn a lot quickly and that's where I'm looking to the likes of Ryan Giggs and a few players around me for the things which I need to be told about.

"It's not all about the playing side of it.

"I've been in the Champions League, watched loads of games, managed in the Europa League. Everybody has to start somewhere."

United won the Champions League twice under Sir Alex Ferguson and were beaten in another two finals, and Moyes believes it is an important tournament not just for the club but for the whole country.

He said: "To win one of the big European tournaments, it's always been seen as something special.

"Winning your own domestic league is very important but winning the Champions League has become very important, for the country and Premier League as well.

"The year when Manchester United and Chelsea played in the final, everyone connected to football in this country sort of stuck their chest out.

"It was the German teams this year, in the past it's been the Spanish.

"I genuinely think there's a swell from our country that we want the British teams to do really well. I'm really looking forward it."

Nice view! The last time I watched United in Malaysia, was sitting at the second tier, which is very far from the pitch. Seems like that Aussie stadium is a pure football pitch, doesn't have a running track on it, more pitch feel tongue.gif

Moyes is an absolute genius. He says, 'We'll need Rooney when RVP gets injured'. Proceeds to over-train RVP so that he gets injured. 'Look Wayne, you're a shoo-in for the first team now! You're staying.'

Gunners fans going to throw a fit IF we manage to get Cesc. brows.gif whistling.gif
Mouthwatering prospect indeed. Good combo with Cesc + Carrick, upfront will definitely be RVP.
Adios to Anderson?

Bale? I think this is hard prospect la. Levy aint going to sell to Utd cheap. vmad.gif
Unless Bale turn around and hand in transfer request.

Just keeping fingers cross, then.....

Thiago : Never approached by Manchester United

"The truth is that in no moment did United come to us and talk to us. It came from the press, it was always a lie," he said.

He was able to leave Barcelona for a reduced price after a lack of first-team appearances activated a clause in his contract and Alcantara felt his former club did not make enough effort to keep him.

He said: "It's unfair to say I wasn't patient. The club knew my situation. I waited for them, especially before the European Championship, but they never contacted me. I didn't feel valued.

"I wanted to compete. The club knew that I wanted to leave and they didn't do much to change that.

"Everyone looks out for their interests, I wanted to feel valued and I wanted to compete so I decided to leave the club and join Bayern.

"I was waiting and waiting all summer, there was a point when I had to decide.

Porto have proven to be a good selling club for the past decade , besides the abovementioned names - the list includes Carvalho , Ferreira , Bosingwa , Deco , Pepe , Maniche , Lucho , Lisandro , Quaresma & the list goes on.
Perhaps , MU can actually raid a player or two from Porto.

Hopefully the team will hit stride when the new season begins..

Fabregas won't be coming already. New barca manager already say so.

Thiago said nobody from Man United contacted him, meaning all those anticipating his signing was trolled.

Okay so back to signing Ronaldo?

This guy is still pretty adamant that the Fabregas deal has been completed.

https://twitter.com/agent_patterson

And his mate here says that Rooney to Chelsea is done as well. And that United tried to get Muller as a replacement but failed.

https://twitter.com/Agent_Hammond

Anyway, both have been pretty accurate so far.

You'll be surprised by it. Most countries, religion is free-will whereby they are free to practice any religion that they choose to believe in. In fact, a lot of French and Dutch are Muslims anyway. Some say that RVP is a Muslim as well, but it doesn't matter. At least it is better than not having any religion.

and so, after being intimidated by budakhijau and his long long posts every now & then, and also for a fact that i'm a senior that long time never post long long posts, i thought i should do something and eradicate that kinda misunderstanding in here that i'm more a joker than a knowledgeable forummer. not to say that i wanna prove anything but, the impression. the impression the i posted to the fellow forummers here. those seniors that have left, they now got their own FB group where they post sometimes nonsensical stuff and most of the time they post facts and make fun of the current MUST-ians. why? reason being they're too many kids crying for the same shit which we aint gonna get in real life. now lemme break this down to you lots. we, manutd really need to change the squad already. starting from the back, to the front. budakhijau & roti-terbakar, long post challenge accepted. alien2003, u dun go put my long post inside the spoiler ah....

goalkeeping wise, i aint too worry bout it as we've secured the youngest & bestest goalkeeper in the world by the name of wub.gif wub.gif DDG. lindegaard will be like a backup, at its best. if he wanna leave, so be it. like lotsa ppl said before, if u go outta manutd, your career will only go downhill. forlan + g.rossi are 2 exceptions. we stil got ben amos on the wing, improving day-by-day ready to fight for his place. but ultimately, 1st choice will still be wub.gif wub.gif DDG.
lotsa people failed to understand why on earth are we linked with garay. i was once liddat as well. then when i started to think about it, i understand the reason behind. here goes: rio aint young, he bloody 34/35 this year. i dont want him to do another giggsy, play until 40. Vida is 31 this year, his performance isnt the same after being hampered by injuries after injuries. no doubt, he's our captain, still. but i cant let someone like this warm the bench? it'll be a waste of wage and headcount! which brings us to the 3 youngters, Jonesy, Smalling, Evans. I'm fine with these 3. but they're relatively very young and Smalling hv also been visiting the nurses quite frequently, which leaves us with 2 fit backup, Evans + Jonesy. Now tell me this, do we need Garay? I'd said phuark yeah. as for fullbacks, Evra is 32 ffs. we need someone to challenge him, hence wub.gif wub.gif Buttner is brought in. Now that Fabio is back, i think we're done on the left side, even if we opt to sell him off or if he's out injured. If we were to get Baines, i don't mind as well. brows.gif brows.gif On the right, Rafael is the only recognised proper right back, don't gimme bollox of Smalling + Jonesy + Tony V can play there. Right back is not their natural position. They'll get humiliated big time! Luckily Fabio can play both sides, so now we're done on the full backs, ya? As for that new kid Varela fler, i doubt that he'll feature this season at all. And NO! Jones DO NOT FIT IN MIDFIELD AT ALL!

onwards to our archilles heel, the midfield. and i mean the centre duo. not the wingers, yet. The ever-brilliant Carrick is 31 this year. We were lucky he didnt get injured for whole of last season. i doubt he can be that lucky again this season. Then, it'll be Cleverley. He needs to show much more, by playing more. Ando. what can i say? he's better off, seriously. He's been here since 2007, what has he done? Nothing! Absolutely nothing! At 25, last season was supposed to be his make-or-break season under SAF. He gets lucky 'cos SAF decided to retire. Under Moyes, i think everyone gets a 2nd chance to prove him wrong. I hope Ando will right those wrongs and flourish under Moyes, finger crossed. Fletcher oh Fletcher, where art thou? His recent injuries doesnt bode too well for him. At 29, talk of retirement has alrdy surfaced. Will he be the same if he ever make a comeback? I don't think so. See Vida for examply. I've alrdy discounted him from the squad, much like last season. Kagawa is for the future, no comment on that. Do we need midfield reinforcements? That's an open secret worldwide. as for the wide players, Giggs is a bloody winger, stop playing him in the middle. How stupid can SAF + Moyes be? Dont they learn from previous lessons ffs?? I hope this coming season is Giggsy's last season with us. i don't wanna see him running again. Class of '92 is over. Thanks for the memories + contributions. Now move on. Then we've got Youngie, Tony V, Nani, Zaha. the 1st three flers better buck the f***-up or they'll be offloaded for sure. that's all i can say. Tony V is too predictable now. Unless he change his gameplay, or else he'll end up another pariah player ever donned the infamous no.7 jersey. meh.

Upfront, we're well stocked, i think. RVP is 29, Roon is 27. top2 strkers in the country are with us. Chicha + THAT kid are as good as backup only. THe thing i always hate SAF is he always inguland >>>>>> other imports. Example pique + evans. Pique left cos no playing time, rite? In front of him, got those formidable duo rio + vida. behind got Evans coming thru. SAF decided to let Pique leave so Evans can grow. Then came Macheda, bloody prolific. but THAT kid is coming thru at the same time, he gave more game time for THAT kid instead of Macheda. apa ketahian ini??!! Why not give him more game time like how THAT kid was given?! THAT kid only scored once outta 26 league appearances last season!!! seriously, really irks me everytime i think of it. then why bother buy Macheda over at the 1st place when u decide not to nurture him properly??!! Same goes to Powell. So highly rated in Championship, joined us, seldom see him in action since. Angelo Henriquez, i'm waiting to see how he turns out under Moyes.

as for the recent transfer rumours. Thiago + Cesc the hottest around. Why barca rejects?! WHY!? i really cannot brain this. THere are 2 ready made midfielders in available for us to bid ie afroman + cabaye, why insist on Cesc? wage wise, it wont be that cheap. physical wise, he's a hobbit in the middle of the park. but why Moyes kept on sayong Cesc talk is ongoing when barca new chief alrdy said not for sale? bodoh ke apa?

ok, i dunno if this is the longest post ever. but my butt is seriously in pain after sitting and typing this long post. samo lepas surgery plak tuh. wanna go eat medicine edi.

enjoy the read & ride boys....

Cesc would be an expensive 'reject' that I've highlighted before. Now stories surfacing that we will bid £40mil for him? I'd rather if we bid for Modric. £40mil can be used for someone better, even more than 1 player. Baines and Afroman okay jugak

i help u spoiler the spill...i luv most of the information knowledge sharing opinion thought...luv every bite of it...
agree on the SAF go favor the ingulish more...we lost golden ball boy pogba u21 tournament...great talent...due to SAF/club policy in bringing up english lads...what a waste...maybe he hav some deal in bringing up local lads with the FA...so other brands us buying the FA...lol...the FA will favor us...BS stuff...for me he can produce bring up local lads...but give the same chances to exceptional talent like kiko, pogba, pique etc...let them break thru...why SAF why...not regret...just rant...ahahaha...maybe we wanna keep the MAN UTD english identity n english spirit...altho it is not as successful we might be with the foreign talent that we nurture to waste...but SAF pulls it off with ingulish lads...title after title...

on the other hand...im a fan of ando/clev/wazza/THAT kid...i hav soft spot for them...they glimpse that they show at times...makes me hook up to them...they got special potential for me...but injury always take them away...for me..those time when ando sh*t on cesc n stevie...he is on par to that level...no doubt...he always come out above them...just the injury n consistency take toll on him...i do hope moyes can make him that kind of player again...if he doesnt fulfill his potential within his time contract...let him serve out his contract...there is no suitor for him atm...if he is up for sale...i do see his jovial personality do makes the dressing room n training fun entertaining at the club...i dont see many player joke with SAF as much as ando when he is around...clev can be the ingulish xavi/inesta/cesc/thiago for me...the glimpse of that showed during community shield past 2-3 season...clev n ando combo...i wish to see more of it...hope moyes can nurture him to be a lil bit scholesy n spanish...wayne is just worldclass...he is the presence of the club...he just need to be more simple when drop in hole or midfield...rather than dribble n hold up ball 2 touch too many...if he got the ball...2-3 player will closed him down...why not he just pull those 2-3 players away n release the other forward n winger to do the damage...hopefully moyes can bring him back to his best...THAT kid hardwork n workrate always appeals me...soon enuf...he will get the ice cool composure in front of goal...he gonna let the goal flowing...

2 perenggan je...
i can be a gurl in MUST if u let me...

coz cesc aint quite a reject.. he still play lot of games last 2 season.. the main issue i think is for how barca using him. cesc been deploy on few role at barca tht might cause him to really flourish. sometimes he play as xavi, sometimes he play iniesta role, sometimes as a false no 10, sometimes supporting striker, sometimes he play deeper, theres times he play messi role..

i like cesc a lot.. he is great passer on the pitch and can score, big names and EPL proven.. but 40mil should be the most for him. dont think modric is available and he wont come cheap either only been a season at RM. fellaini is a good option if we fail wt cesc.. he aint the same level at cesc. i rate him just above.. bit better compared to cleverley or ando only.. but he might get better wt united surrounding wt better quality player at united

Not exactly a reject lar, i meant 'reject'..could be someone who is not a regular first 11. 40mil is too much to be honest. Just too much. Fab's value is somewhere within 30mil only. He is a fantastic passer but not to the extend that I would rate him above 7.5/10. But if 40mil for Mata.. should be a better deal lolol Chelski fans rage later laugh.gif

Thiago said NO CONTACT from Manchester United, so there was nothing to be disappointed at in the first place.

As for fabregas, if he was a flop/reject, we would have got him by now. 40mil and still no deal shows the intend by Barca to keep this gem. He definitely got the ability to replace the aging Xavi.

Maybe Moyes too desperate on him, to get someone who is proven in the EPL. Modric looks like a good choice, we could probably get him for less than 40mil.

i think realistically, we can sign afroman from everton, coz they will need funds to improve the team.

Add Fellaini, or even Cabaye for some steel in midfield, and let the flair players like Ando, Clev, Kagawa and potentially Adnan to be the playmakers.

Barca's new manager already said that fabregas is not for sale.

It was Thiago's mistake that lead to Dortmund's last goal. He lost the ball in the middle of the park to Reus and that lead to a fast counter. But bloody hell, getting a slap like that? sweat.gif
