Jesse and Adnan looked very promising but let's not get our hopes up yet. Moyes should provide them some first team football, see what they can offer.

QUOTE
Manchester United manager David Moyes is confident he will add to his squad this summer, but has yet to decide whether he will make a third bid for Barcelona midfielder Cesc Fabregas.

United have had two bids rejected for the 26-year-old with Barcelona insistent he is not for sale.

"I couldn't tell you if there will be another bid [for Fabregas]," he said.

"I never at any time said I knew we would get him. We will take stock and consider what we are going to do next."

The Premier League champions have failed with two bids for the former Arsenal player, the latest of which is understood to be £30m, plus add-ons.

United's only summer signing has been Uruguayan right-back Guillermo Varela, but Moyes said: "I am quite confident we will add to the squad.

"But what we have here is a really good squad of players already. You mustn't forget about the quality that is already here at Manchester United."

Moyes also revealed that captain Nemanja Vidic will feature in a friendly at Crewe on Monday after recovering from a back problem that kept him out of the tour to Asia.

Wayne Rooney - who pulled out of the tour with a hamstring injury - will not be fit to feature at Gresty Road but should be fit to face Swedish side AIK Fotboll on 6 August.

Moyes said earlier this month that Rooney was not for sale after Chelsea revealed that the 27-year-old England striker was their sole transfer target.

United legend Sir Bobby Charlton, who is in Hong Kong as part of the club's Asian pre-season tour, believes Rooney will remain at Old Trafford.

Rooney, currently on 197 goals, needs another 53 to overtake 75-year-old Charlton, who has 249 goals, as United's all-time goalscorer.

"I was hoping one day that he might score as many goals as I had and that would have been really nice if it was at our club - and I'm still thinking that way," said Charlton.

"Wayne Rooney is a Manchester United player and I think that he will continue to be a Manchester United player.

"We are not silly enough to make any rash decisions. I don't like losing really good players and he is a really, really good player."

Manchester United legend Paul Scholes has confirmed he has held preliminary talks with manager David Moyes about one day becoming part of his coaching staff.

Scholes retired from football in 2011 and did get involved with some coaching at Old Trafford only to reverse his decision and return to action in January 2012.

But he called it a day again at the end of last season and is planning on taking a break from the game before considering a coaching position in the future.

"I have spoken to him (Moyes) a couple of times but I am going to take a nice break now and try and get my head away from football for a little bit," Scholes told Sky Sports News.

"You do find it hard with all the pre-season games though, you find yourself watching them.

"I am going to take along break then see how I feel.

"Obviously it's nice there is something there for me if I want to go back to it.

"I am sure ultimately I probably will do (take up the coaching offer)."

Carrick, Cleverley, Ando, Kagawa, Powell, Lingard, Jones (DM), we are actually have a good depth at MF, just the matter whether fans and board have the patience while Moyes is nurturing some of them by giving them playing time.

Heard about Pep going for David Luiz after the 4-2 thumping by BVB. I'm not sure whether Bayern is an average team or Pep is an average manager. His side is good enough!

And Klopp did said after the game Bayern is still the best. Pandai troll ni. Haha.

Anyway, today is 29th July already and still no mouth watering transfer that we have been waiting for except for Varela yg biasa2 je.

youngsters need a lot of gymming and steroids and protein to bulk up, if not they will be flattened =P

Powell seemed to be here and there for the past few years, haven't seen his full potential, partly because we tend to use oldies.

time to let the youngsters shine. =) well, we need ONE good signing, CMF or DMF. Cesc or afro seems good.

Would very much agree that Pep is an average manager. He inherited a very good team in Barca, now Bayern. Can he do the same? Only time will tell.

Pep is blessed with having a great team like Barcelona and Bayern. See if he can manage Swansea or not. No disrespect to Swansea.
Even SAF took time to built his dynasty. Nowadays, certain managers are blessed lot. Club owners oso kaya raya. Want instant success.

Fun fact? Adnan Januzaj shares the same birthday, February 5, as former Manchester United star Cristiano Ronaldo and Barcelona’s Brazilian forward Neymar. No pressure, lad.

Ferguson inherited a $#!tty Man Utd team back in 1986.
By the time he won his first silverware with Man Utd, only two players from the original team he inherited remained. The rest were all his acquisition.
He built a whole new era for Man Utd from scratch with a small budget. That is why I really respect this man... notworthy.gif
A lot of haters asy Man Utd is good because they are rich. It is in fact the other way round; Man Utd is rich because they are good! They only started making big money when they started winning under Sir Alex. Before that they were nothing.

$$$$ teams still need a great manager.

more money more pressure. having great money and great squad doesnt mean it is much easier. The stakes are higher.
Mark Hughes, Mancini (he's a great manager actually) and many more.

Yeah, that's why I'll always respect SAF too. Always constantly re-building Utd from scratch.

Pep is a great manager, no doubt. But too early to tell whether he'll achieve same success with Bayern. All the best Pep.
