Phil Jones is yet to speak to David Moyes about his long-term position, but he insists he is happy to play anywhere.

The England international enjoyed run-outs in central defence, at full-back and in midfield last season and excelled in every position.

Jones says all the players are relishing life under the new manager and he maintains he will play wherever he is required.

“We haven’t spoken about it yet, but I’m sure as the tour progresses then it will arise,” he told ManUtd.com.

“It’s like I said last season when I was playing right-back, centre-back and centre midfield, I just enjoy playing football and if that means playing in different positions then that’s fine, I just want to play. Hopefully I can play plenty of games.”

Many former players and pundits have tipped Jones as a future United captain and potentially one of the club's best ever players, but the man himself is not getting carried away by the compliments. While flattered by the praise, he insists he remains focused on continuing to work hard.

“Obviously it’s great to hear comments like that, but you’ve still got to prove yourself and go out and do the business on matchday. That’s my aim this season," he declared.

Anyway, both have been pretty accurate so far.

Nani has deflected talk of a move by insisting his ambition for the season is to help Manchester United retain their Premier League title.

Monaco claimed the Portugal international had been offered to them and as Nani’s contract expires in 2014, United have to either sell him or risk losing him for nothing.

But the winger, who joined United in 2007, said he is focusing on securing his fifth league title in his time in England.

He told MUTV: "I hope to win the league again and, for my personal wishes, I want to be at my best and score a lot of goals. Like I said, I just need to be at my best and then everything will come together."

After scoring 10 goals in each of the last two seasons, Nani only struck four times last year during an injury-hit season.

And he missed United’s pre-season tour of Asia and Australia after undergoing surgery on his nose.

But he scored twice in Monday’s 2-0 win at Crewe and hopes to be fully fit for the start of the season.

He added: "It's always nice to get back to work and start training with all the team-mates. Of course, all my team-mates have been in Asia but I have been training with a couple of them and it's nice to feel the grass, feel the atmosphere again and start to prepare for the new season.

"I'd played two friendly games already and am preparing well in myself. I hope, when the season starts, I will be at my best to help the team. I think there's still a lot of work [to do] but, in one more week, then I will be at my best."
