if you are not 'brand locked', i would suggest you to take this :

Dell Vostro 5460, i5-3337U + Nvidia GT630M + (32GB mSATA SSD + 500GB(5400rpm))@RM2199[1.54kg], 4GB, W8SL, 3 cell
Dell Inspiron 14z, i5-3337U + AMD HD7570M + 32GB SSD + 500GB(5400rpm)@RM2299[1.87kg], 4GB, W8SL *no VGA port, OD

if you are 'brand locked', you can look at these :

HP

Oh man, my turn to buy a new laptop, currently using CQ40 LCD screen like the horror movie "The Ring" TV splashing. rclxub.gif
QUOTE
1) Illustrator/Photoshop CS3 (daily), FormatFactory Video Converting (monthly), Internet (daily), Microsoft Word/Excel/PowerPoint (daily), YouTube (daily)
2) More mobility type so that I can carry around without too heavy, so 13" too small for me designing, 15.6" too big for me carrying, so best size is 14"
3) Reliable, but now a days I don't expect laptop can use more than 3years sweat.gif
4) ODD and SSD are optional (I do burn CD quite a while monthly)
5) RM2,000 more or less
So I been watching this Asus model study around its spec, so is there still have any alternative brand for Lenovo/Acer similar to this spec?
ASUS K46CB-WX060H – 14” / i5-3337U / 2GB / 750GB / GT740 2G / W8 <-- Can upgrade RAM or not? hmm.gif
Any Sifu give me a Green Light for this model or other choices? laugh.gif
*
I just found another option, any SiFu what do you think about this 2 model comparison in term of Price & Spec?
1) ASUS K46CB-WX060H – 14” / i5-3337U / 2GB / 750GB / GT740 2G / W8
2) HP ENVY 4-1204TX – 14” / I5-3337U / 4G D3 / 500GB + mSSD 32GB / AMD 8750M 2GB / W8

Aww.... Well then, I guess I just go for K46CB. This model come with 2GB, so still got one more slot left right? I can just upgrade into 6GB by putting 4GB is it? hmm.gif

Another side question:
Intel Core i5 3337U VS Intel Core i5 3230M
Q: Intel Core i5 3230M do slightly better than the i5 3337U in Gaming right?

I think I just stick with K46CB-WX060H since is lighter than the 2 model you mentioned. So is it possible to add RAM and then do this package bundle with Backpack? hmm.gif
*
Add RAM for K46CB? Yes, you can, there are 2 RAM slots.
The rest, please ask resellers biggrin.gif

Any comments regarding the asus n550jv? Is there another i5 variant called n550lf in Malaysia? Or shall I wait for lenovo's y510p?

Btw I'm not really into gaming...more towards a good multimedia experience

well, i cant say that. all brands are the same, and most of the rest depends on your luck. my experience with 3 brandings, Alienware, ASUS and HP so far are good. i rate Alienware on top of my list, HP 2nd and ASUS 3rd.
