Buy a notebook that you like, instead of what's most popular ~

hye guys, its me again... i asked previously but now this friend of mind strictly wants a laptop with i5 and windows 7 original, hope i can get some help to suggest to this friend of mine...

1. Preferred Brand - Any (less problematic)
2. Budget - RM3k
3. Usage - Online, ms office, photoshop, coral, movies
4. Preferred laptop/screen size - 14" and above
5. Prefered RAM - 4gb and above (better if have or can support more than 8gb)
6. OS - MUST be windows 7, not quite okay with windows 8
7. Processor - MUST BE i5 (the friend of mine do not want i7 even after trying to persuade him the whole day)
8. Optical drive - at least dvd (better if can read blue ray)

Additional - If possible, want a good quality screen, if not possible within the price range, well, there's nothing i can say then...

Hope i can find the best laptop with i5 at that price range

haha ya, i believe im in a mess now 
as im leaving to singapore soon, dono whether wanna simply get a laptop now, or wait until i settle down there and got free time to do more research while saving "bullet" lol
current budget doesnt allow me to get y410p or y510p, maybe few months later, but laptop/desktop is a must when i be there, aiks -.-

13/14" is definitely much smaller than a 17 incher haha XD

Your best bet is to try out the real thing, or any other notebooks with equivalent sizes. Should be fairly easy to find
Personally I think FullHD on a 13" notebook is pretty hard on the eyes, but that is just me. The specs offered by the Illegear is seriously hard to resist, and not to mention that you could always lower the resolution, or connect to an external monitor for better viewing pleasure~

The MS GE40 is also a very unique notebook, 1st of its kind, definitely worth considering as well~
Just need to throw in an SSD and you are good to go
