Hi All,

I'm currently looking at getting a laptop for my work. Can someone recommend me the brands/models that worth looking at based on the criteria as below?

1. Preferred Brand : Acer/Samsung/Dell
2. Budget : 2000-2500
3. Usage : Work and light gaming mostly
4. Preferred laptop/screen size : 12-14"

I'd require the below specifications --

Can someone recommend me the models? Thanks.

Hi,

Thank you for your recommendation. After much consideration, I think Dell XPS would suit my needs. Do you have any knowledge in terms of its battery life of XPS 13 vs XPS 14? Also, any pros and cons in between XPS 13 vs XPS 14? Thank you.

Over your original budget, but if you could afford it, both are very good laptop smile.gif

Advantage:
XPS14 - with discrete GPU (good for your light gaming (don't know what titles you play), larger storage capacity. Larger battery, will run longer if Nvidia GPU don't kick in. Killer Wireless Card. Have HDMI, LAN port.
XPS13 - very much lighter. Longer battery running time if XPS14 kick in the GPU. Some already spec with a very good FHD display.

No.
The screen in XPS14 only display HD+ (1600x900), but if you connect it to external display, it could support FHD.
