Just tried out the AD15VT at artune just now. Just quickly tried out all the amp models. Sounds good smile.gif warm and punchy and articulate.

Going for either the 30W or the 50W version. Any advice on this? What are the differences?

Do these amps need any footswitches?

I also wanna join VOX AD club XD, what's the different between AD30VT and AD30XL?

What's the price of the 2 amps?
*

the XL series are for people who want more metal sound plus its a newer product. Apart from more metal sound + newer product, basically there're similar IMHO.
I have the ad30vt, and for my taste, my 30vt's distortion sound is more than sufficient for me. YMMV.

on average between 1.5-2 hours a day. there are at times I don't touch the guitar at all and there are times I play the guitar longer than usual, and there are times that I left the amp on overnight coz I totally forgot to off it. Usually played at half-wattage, rarely blasted at full power. It's quite hardy I guess.

Well considering the preamp tube is in the poweramp section I think the life span is quite good.
JJ tubes 12ax7 I heard it is warmer and has slightly more gain.

the 50W have the Celestion designed speaker, there's a used one going for 900 at the trade zone... if it's MIK, then it should be interesting.

if you think 50W is overkill for home practice, take the 30W (like I did!)

Anyone knows where to get a Celestion or Eminence 10" speaker in Malaysia? So that I can upgrade the 30W speaker. Thought of upgrading to 50W just for the Celestion 70/80, but for the difference, could've gotten a new speaker for the 30W...

From the Singaporean site, the Tube 10 is RM187, the Eminence Ramrod is about RM287. That's all for the 10 inchers though. The 12" have more variety.

I know that Celestion Greenbacks are pretty popular.
I'd rather go for the EVM-12L Black Label for Metal.

For 10", usually G10 (from the Valvetronix.net). Greenbacks, G12s, Classic 12s and Alnico Blues for 12".
Eminence gets some mention too, especially since the cone is made in England, and the rest assembled in America.
Some of the Celestion speakers (not sure which) are manufactured in China.
