as a start, let's share our amp settings!

my clean channel:
the tweed, with turned down bass, and turned up mids and treble. can't remember the exact settings, will repost 'em later.

my dirty channel:
numetal with .. scooped mids. tongue.gif

hmm it seems that the volume imbalance is occuring again with my SDs. maybe it's because of the big difference in output between the neck and bridge pup..

cutting through the fray during jamming almost always require some retweaking of the settings, especially when you're using the high-gain amps. for cleans it doesn't really matter.

my amp settings doesn't really require alot of tweaking. almost maximum bass and treble with scooped mids, whaddaya expect? laugh.gif but when i'm using the UK moderm amp, which i do increase the mids, i have to tinker around with the EQ a lil and sometimes go a lil easy on the master volume.

grainy? i don't know, my ears can't differentiate grain and gain. sweat.gif

plese pardon my question, but is this VOX AD amp suitable for electric guitar like ESP AX-50? Me blur lah, got so mant types of guitar - electric, acoustic, bass, and others (me don't know what).

yes it is. it has alot of amp models for your son to choose from and find a tone that is suited for his style of playing. smile.gif

hmm after some tinkering outside my usual tone, I found that the Boutique OD has a pretty kickass metal tone, except that it's lacking gain.

tempted to buy a cheap behringer OD pedal to boost the gain to turn it into uber goodness.

sweat.gif  sweat.gif  sweat.gif I thought the Dumble amp has a great blues rock tone. biggrin.gif

Yeah, the Behringer Blues OD is a good pedal for boosting. thumbup.gif

a bluesey OD was not what I had in mind sweat.gif I was thinking a gain booster like an SD-1 brows.gif
