as a start, let's share our amp settings!

my clean channel:
the tweed, with turned down bass, and turned up mids and treble. can't remember the exact settings, will repost 'em later.

my dirty channel:
numetal with .. scooped mids. tongue.gif

hmm it seems that the volume imbalance is occuring again with my SDs. maybe it's because of the big difference in output between the neck and bridge pup..

VOX VALVETRONIX FAN CLUB!!!

I'm planning to switch my settings to Eric Johnson-style settings, one channel being Fender extremely-clean-as-hell clean. The other might be... the Mesa model surprise surprise!!!

My last live setup was :
AC30 :
Gain & Volume : MAX
Treble : 4'o Clock
Mid : 11'o Clock
Bass : 9'o Clock
Effects : Some reverb
That's my clean, crunch and solo sound. tongue.gif tongue.gif Clean sounds pretty bright while crunch has some punch. By adding the TS9 + Crank the amp = Tone Heaven as experienced on 29th April 2006. tongue.gif tongue.gif

12AX7s are pretty solid as far as tubes go. They're very reliable and last for a bit. They do, however, eventually wear out. Hmmm. Now that I think about it, maybe it's not going to last as long as a dedicated preamp tube, cos it's doing some work in the power stage...

Bents has Groove Tubes going for under a hundred each, I think.

Anyone tried different tubes?

Another thing I'd like to do soon: Mod it so the speaker won't cut off when there's a jack in the line out. Or have a switch there so the option is mine to make.

whoa. yeah..that's certainly one combo that can set u off...forever! i mean...its all set for gigs and everything...all bases covered.

and whoa..the valvetronix family has indeed expanded.
http://www.musiciansfriend.com/product?sku=482627 that is perfect gig material.

btw...is there a way we cld mod our 30 wat combos into heads...with speaker outs...like what josh said...

100 for a tube! blink.gif

The AD Range started with the ATX series, and Vox expanded the Valvetronix range by adding a more stripped down (No stompbox models, only 2 User presets etc) version of the ATX, which are the ones we all have. smile.gif

I kinda like the cloth grill of the ATX, looks far more vintage than the metal ones we have heh. thumbup.gif
