That's what I normally use too hahah...

I have this Blackface preset saved with huge amount of reverb. I set the decay level pretty high and it does sound close to a Twin Reverb. I roll off a bit of highs and boost the bass to get a thicker sound, I think this setting would work best with a 335-style guitar, but with my pacifica, it sounds pretty good too. smile.gif

If you want more punch/gain in your sound, try the AC30 settings, very chimey highs and enough gain for SRV or Johnny Winter stuff.

UK70s sounds pretty good for blues playing too. smile.gif

Hi guys , I am a future user of VOX AD50VT , wanna get it from CK music but seems like they are out of stock now? Any other shop to get the VOX? Btw , wass the lowest price CK music ever quoted? For AD50VT ...

Another problem is , I am just a beginner of E.guitar , learning for past 6 months , do i really need a 50 watts one? I will use it to practise , maybe jamming with friend future , or should i get a 30 watts one enough? Hmmm.. btw , 50watts one is equipped with Celestion speaker but 30 watts one is just normal VOX standard speaker ! Does it makes significant differences? or nothing much?

Thk you for answering my question ! =D

Wow..... just realized I now belong in the Valvetronics club, thanks to my Tonelab SE!!!

And -YS-.... If you do have the cash, then the AD50vt would be a good, safe bet because you never know if you're gonna gig with it......

But if your question is, is the 30watter good enough for your practise and maybe some SMALL gigs.... then yes. It's good enough.

I just came back from CK and it looks like they're going to be bringing in more stock, that's why clearing up the old ones like the Tonelab SE. So hang in there.... they'll be bringing the 50s soon.....

I have ALWAYS recommended the Vox AD series for beginners lah..... check the previous posts......
It's only if players want a much more "metal" amp, then I would recommend the Marshall AVT series......
Sad but true...... the Vox AD series is no match to the Marshall AVT when it comes to full on Metal sounds...... sure, you can coax the little AD to be a metal amp, but the Marshall does it so well out of the box already.....

Wow thks blacktrix for answering the question , but another one .

Despite the wattage of the amp , is the speaker of the amp made much different? Anyone who tried both 30 and 50 ?

Hmm , actually i do have the money to buy the AD50VT , just i need some comments only because sometime must save some money for future upgrading my gears too..

yes. the 50 watt is a celestion speaker, not sure which. the 30 watter is just a 'normal' vox fitted speaker. dunno how to put it. smile.gif i own the 30. a few others here own the 50. well, the obvious is the speaker out for the 50 , its weight, and loudness. other than that, amp models and the interface is totally the same.

wow blacktrix, stayed away from this forum and u got urself a tonelab se. cool shit. is it the one with the twin expression pedal and the tube?

Yeah..... It's the twin pedals with the Tube....
My only other option if I wanted to get a new pedal board was the Zoom 9.2tt... but I have 2 Zoom pedals and they are both semi broken AND their tone still wasn't up to par.

I've read ALOT of good reviews for the Tonelab SE AND it was on offer, so I got it.

Samples coming soon..... Maybe after next week...... Deadline for final assignments is this 2 weeks....... working like mad.... no time to play with the Tonelab SE....... sad.gif
