my bandmate scoops his mids too.

so same la

Who cares about the other guitarist, It's the cymbals and bass that are drowning your guitar sound LOL!

When you scoop you mids, you're only left with the bass and treble frequency to cut through the band. So do you think your guitar has fatter bass frequency than the bass player and bass drum or treble frequency that could stand out from the hi-hat and cymbals?

For all tube amp, definately but for a hybrid I highly doubt it.
I'm skeptical too, but some guitarists have gotten positive effects by just replacing the tubes... so there's still some hope.

I say they should ask Eric Johnson's opinion. Then write a 12 page report on it.
Eric Johnson will recommend that we should rewire our amps to a certain direction, use XXX cables and Duracell batteries to power the pedals.

Oh, and the one thing that really annoys me is that the speaker and line outputs mute the internal speaker.
It's annoying, but I think they have a reason to do so : The amp really doesn't sound as good on line out itself. They're probably encouranging people to crank their amp (In terms of volume) just like the good old way.
Though, they should've included a switch behind.
Anyway, from what I've read, the ATX series excels at modern/high-gain amps while the AT series produce better vintage amp sounds. With the amazing Fender and Vox emulations, I won't complain!
