1. What is the meaning of Bear coming? I thought it was the rabbit coming. 2. What is the meaning of that Fung Sway chart? Why no indicators on the chart? Where the support and resistance? Where got chun? June suppose to go up up. |

QUOTE(Icehart @ Jun 26 2013, 10:56 AM) Foreign counterparts drop like shit our CI only -5 points. Not surprising la, our market is already proven detached from europe , china and US one.Of course when they up like rock solid our CI also should +5 points only lah. Only the second liner stocks a bit volatile recently. |

Raymond Chan where got lost one?
What is reported in Bursa on Raymond Chan shareholding is just a partial of the whole pile of share there are holding. There are using Raymond Chan holding at RM 0.155 to let you guys have hope.. Actually that portion might be a 15 to 20% of their total holding. Another 80 to 85% already off loaded via nominees and other account. So you guys always see Raymond Chan is losing (Someone big guns accompany you to lose comfort you a little bit...) but in fact, he ain't losing at all and already won long ago. |

Sad to say, many still treat him like God type......... I do not understand why .. So all the newbie will think RC just entered, and they enter together with RC.. and hit hit hit.. Once Gadang acquire the AP and all done, sign SPA. Average 500k assume 340 units for phase 1. That is going to be 170m sales revenue to be recorded into their accounting papers. Then looking at their sales in Johor, and hopefully other projects are running good (not in a loss). I think Gadang holds a good position. Probably RM 1.20 to RM 1.50 should be no problem in 6 months time |

Asia water taps would run dry :-
The biggest risk for beaten-down Asian markets is not China's financial instability, say experts, it's a further spike in U.S. Treasury yields. "If U.S. [10-year] Treasury yields go up from here to 3 percent - that's going to be a disaster for the asset markets in Asia," Kelvin Tay, regional chief investment officer, southern Asia-Pacific, at UBS told CNBC. "It's going to shift a lot of capital away and it will basically hasten the liquidity movements out of this region," he added. |

Momentum indicators are starting to turn from weak bullish to weak bearish.
Market top has been established at 1788. The possibility of downside is higher than upside. Chances of falling towards 200-day MVA at 1670 is high. http://www.theedgemalaysia.com/business-ne...g-stronger.html |

OPR is not going to be raised with current economy condition. REIT now suffer weak sentiment because of fear of rate hike. Consider current yield of 5%, a 1% up to 6%, which means REIT's share price must down 20%. It is suicide for central bank to raise rate at this moment or near term, when equities market is volatile, economy is getting slower and no pressure of inflation, (commodities price soft and gold price plunging). Having said that, I would agree Reit price should go down a bit more, as at the moment, yield is too low (due to too much cash chasing too little thing). I do not understand why many keep on saying interest rate is going to be hike... too many media cooking? Bond price drop sending yield higher, yes. Interest rate, over night rate that set by central bank being raised? Chance is remote. |

QUOTE(Boon3 @ Jun 26 2013, 02:05 PM) Strange. This is like saying it doesn't matter when the Fong Sway chart is wrong. It only matters when it is correct. Consider KLCI all time closing high of 1780 (forget exact) to now of roughly 1725, we only corrected for a mere 3%, perhaps included in the fengshui chart but negligible drop? So we will still sail up to 1800 by end of July. So ride the wave now and sell on 31st July? |

QUOTE(cherroy @ Jun 26 2013, 02:08 PM) OPR is not going to be raised with current economy condition. I think it depends on how well EPF could absorb the Govt Bonds selling by FF .It is suicide for central bank to raise rate at this moment or near term, when equities market is volatile, economy is getting slower and no pressure of inflation, (commodities price soft and gold price plunging). If US treasury jumps to 3% ( now about 2.6% ) , our Govt Bonds currently could be less than 3% on average ...... Our ringgit could drop like a stone too. Their reasons for u not to time the markets ........... when price down and fundamental stays, valuation is getting cheaper and cheaper, that's why fundamentalists start buying in more. |

some stocks the support level is just so obvious. i guess it's local funds instead of retailers.
and they just support, not moving up further. so it stays at "cautiously neutral" stage i guess. |

staind, this is reply to your last post
Bjcorp lines have not yet crossed. Still no good buy signal. Be careful or you can get stuck in sideways or down move. Better upside potentials in some oil and gas counters which have started rebounds from temporary low levels. Not chasing prices now. Monitoring for good buy signals to collect more. |

HKSE rebounds 400 pts (2%) while SSE continues dropping another 0.5%.
So China now has "departed" ? I thought China companies start asking money from HK banks? This post has been edited by yok70: Jun 26 2013, 03:15 PM |

Actually, businesses already slow since May... Businesses here have or less facing this impact now. I don't think there will be a liquidity crunch, just many investors, hedge fund, speculators too addicted to the QE already, suddenly, said QE tapering, then it is like end of the world. US economy is rather intact, from various economy data showing. Yes, not growing robust and rapidly, but at slow and steady pace. Not in recession, not depression. China liquidity crunch is easier to solve as compared to US subprime mess. PBOC can provide liquidity if situation turn worse, after all, China capital market and banking is not as open and free as US. So PBOC should able to solve it much easier than US subprime version. After all, a minor liquidity crunch may be good for long term future, by killing off persistent high inflation in China, as well as taming the loan growth that spur the inflation. If there is severe liquidity crunch like 2008 crisis, then it may provide a second life chance to buy dirt cheap stock again. Seldom lottery hit twice one... |

U mentioned our rates are very stable for 10 years, but it is also a known local fact our Govt does not pay u on time, dragging here and there on payments. So what is the use of projecting a good and stable economy ......... |

QUOTE(LOWYAT3AB @ Jun 26 2013, 03:11 PM) staind, this is reply to your last post Yesterday SMA50 and SMA200 kissed. Today is officially crossed. SMA50 = 0.580, SMA200 = 0.579. haha. PE ratio = 60 counter.Bjcorp lines have not yet crossed. Still no good buy signal. Be careful or you can get stuck in sideways or down move. Better upside potentials in some oil and gas counters which have started rebounds from temporary low levels. Not chasing prices now. Monitoring for good buy signals to collect more. QUOTE(Boon3 @ Jun 26 2013, 06:19 PM) I object. Why you give up on Pong Sway chart so easily? I tell you la, when the time it comes correct, many will go hoo ha over it. When it is wrong, nobody saw and say nothing. Coastal? Why Coastal have so much money? Why Coastal share no oomph past few years? Why Coastal profits no oomph past few years? I never take it seriously in the 1st place. Just find it interesting on how the creator thought of the flow. The beauty of human minds. Smart ones will take advantage of these. My POV would be that the nature of the business is more risky and no constant income stream. So no oomph on the share price. Funds rich cz need more funds for emergency. But that could change with their entry into rig business as its considered recurring income? Didn't study the sector in depth, just some common sense blabbering. Prepared to kena condemn again This post has been edited by V-Zero: Jun 26 2013, 11:24 PM |

^ I looked into Gadang and Salcon's annual report yesterday and I stopped not even half-way.
Don't really like the financial. Perhaps am not really into properties/cyclical sector. |

Gadang and Salcon, you can actually see some sort of similarities with Coastal. The reason to buy is the said 'potential'... Gadang got it's new mega housing project. Salcon diversifying big time into properties with the son of a property master. Coastal diversifying into the rig business. And if you take out the 'potential' there's nothing much to shout about. It became an investor darling of a stock. Here's the thing. If one bought say after 2011 ( because Coastal was an investing hot stock) and held the stock until today, they would find their investment rather fruitless, and as you have now noted, Coastal profits since 2011 have been pretty poor. |

Ah yes my previous holding gave me 5% ROI for 1 year or so. As of now still no sign of recovery yet, probably the only thing stopping it from rolling over is the strong balance sheet. With their entry into rig biz, might give some potential into this otherwise boring stock. Anyway I retain my entry price of not more than RM1.99 or else I'd skip. |

Take this and distribute dividend is much more viable, at least for each shareholder Let's take 7.1bil share issued out (minus out treasury share), distribute 0.9375 cent dividend is about RM67mil each quarter, annually RM270mil, that is the same amount as the share buyback already This post has been edited by yhtan: Jun 27 2013, 10:35 AM |

QUOTE(yhtan @ Jun 27 2013, 10:24 AM) Bought back 200mil+ shares, roughly about RM300mil spent I think ah.. he want to reduce outstanding shares for share swap with YTL... Take this and distribute dividend is much more viable, at least for each shareholder Let's take 7.1bil share issued out (minus out treasury share), distribute 0.9375 cent dividend is about RM67mil each quarter, annually RM270mil, that is the same amount as the share buyback already |

QUOTE(cwhong @ Jun 27 2013, 11:19 AM) You got a point but do note that last volume bar is showing today's trading.Lack of volume could showed lack of buying interest/support. The opposite side would argue that the lack of volume is positive cos it showed that despite THHeavy sliding/falling down during recent 'correction' the small volume would indicate that the strong hands held on to the stocks. Also with the poor market sentiment, one cannot expect to see gung ho buying of the stock (ie increase volume). Very subjective hor... and yes, you may object if you want too. |

Crossover not strong.Monitoring... ![]() Not bullish signal. Deadweight like Mas which cannot takeoff as it cannot break resistance level I mentioned last time. These 2 stocks not going up unless they show strong buying signals. Have not bought them. I am more interested in oil and gas stocks which have rebounded strongly from their temporary bottoms because they have corrected a lot recently. Have collected some. Trying to get more but some prices are too high to chase now. I think one "good"buy left is 7108WA at 75c and below. Not buy/sell recommendations. Are you a trader or long-term investor ? I am both and make my trading and investment decisions by using some FA mainly from reports by analysts and also just by looking at charts of closing prices at the end of each day to identify the daily resistance and support levels, which help me try to keep losses small and get some big gains. Apollo- top-line & bottom-line slid Result Update For QE30/4/2013, Apollo's net profit dropped 23% q-o-q or 18% y-o-y to RM7 million while revenue was lower by 4% q-o-q or 3% y-o-y to RM55 million. Top-line & bottom-line dropped due to lower demand from both local and export markets as compared to the festive months in QE31/1/2013. The lower revenue and higher operating cost had resulted in a decrease in the current quarter’s profit. Table 1: Apollo's last 8 quarterly results Chart 2: Apollo's last 23 quarterly results Valuation Apollo (closed at RM4.05 yesterday) is now trading at a PE of 10 times (based on last 4 quarters' EPS of 40 sen). For a consumer stock, Apollo's valuation is deemed undemanding. Technical Outlook Apollo is in a gradual uptrend which accelerated over the past 6 months. This sudden acceleration may taper off and the stock may move in a sideway manner for a while. It shoudl however find good support at the psychological RM4.00 level. Chart 2: Apollo's weekly chart as at June 27, 2013_10.00am (Source: Quickcharts) Conclusion Despite poorer financial performance, Apollo is still an attractive stock with positive technical outlook. As such,, Apollo remained a good stock for a long-term investment. |

QUOTE(Boon3 @ Jun 27 2013, 11:24 AM) You got a point but do note that last volume bar is showing today's trading. nolah, i am not qualify pratitioner (SIFU) so cannot call object Lack of volume could showed lack of buying interest/support. |

RM500 allowance just for his lunch? this remind me of my dad's ex-GM earning 5 figure and no money in pocket to buy drinks |

If a company gives 10 million in total dividend pa. there is 100 company doing so, it means 1 billion of dividend. out of 1 billion, if we assume 25% is given to minority shareholders that subjected to low tax bracket or don't need to pay tax one (especially retired person whereby no income already so even added dividend so under taxable bracket), means 250 million is given to minority shareholders. 250 x 25% = potential 62.5 million refund! I believe KLSE listed company give more than 1 billion of dividend annually. I no count on this, correct me if I am wrong. QUOTE(Bonescythe @ Jun 27 2013, 03:03 PM) Do you think this BIOSIS will go down then shoot up again like MAEMODE did the other day? Also, MAEMODE has gone down again now but seems there is a large buy queue. Is that an indication that it will start going up again like that day? |

Axiata, SingTel , Telenor to know Myanmar telecoms bid on Thursday
Myanmar, which is offering operating licenses to global telecoms firms for the first time, will announce the outcome of the auction as planned on Thursday despite opposition in parliament. Myanmar is one of the world's last telecoms frontiers, with only 9 percent of its 60 million people at most having mobile phones. But faced with big investments and uncertain returns, some bidders have dropped out of the auction. Vodafone Group Plc and China Mobile Ltd have abandoned their joint bid, saying it did not meet their "internal investment criteria." The remaining short-listed contenders, some of whom have local or foreign partners, are: Singapore Telecommunications, KDDI Corp, Telenor, Digicel, Axiata, Bharti Airtel, MTN, Vietnam's Viettel, Qtel (Ooredoo), Orange and Millicom International Cellular. |
